How are we getting on?

So I'm thinking of events to do but just wondering how everyone is doing with cr etc. I'm sat on 300k now and it was pretty easy to get tbh. I also have about 50 cars in the garage but only paid for the fit lol

I may leave events until the January update is out and see what that brings. Also don't forget to collect that free Mercedes vision thing!

I've just got to do my A License so that I can get online!

Only picked it up yesterday after work, but the red wine got to me before I could finish the A  License!!

I'm loving it! I thought it would be such a grind to work through the career mode but most of the races are under 3 minutes. Very nice driving with the wheel as well. I can see the game lasting quite some time with all the content it's got. Looking forward to future DLC.

+1

The track list is awesome, and even though the graphics are a mixed bag, the physics seem to be solid.  From what I've seen, the online options look amazing, now just to get some lobbies going.

So far the biggest surprise for me is that I've actually enjoyed the license tests and the way they have your friends times and racing lines in real time.  I think that racing line is much cooler and less distracting than a ghost.  I just wish it was easier to see where everyone was ranked, rather than having to go through a bunch of menus.

Top work lads. The first event I'm going to host will be in the Megane or Scirocco touring car. I need to decide which one. I may even have both but I need to test first.

I'm hoping online is going to be epic!

It's almost identical to GT5 in terms of offline play, not bad but the AI isn't much of a challenge!

Go into the races w/ a 100PI handicap and you get to run your ass off.  That's what I've been doing.  Lose a race, add a part and try again.  Then keep adding parts until finally win.  I don't recommend this process if you just want to blow through the races though.  But I enjoy challenging myself a bit.

Im currently at 1.2 million (most of it from goodwood and sold the Plymouth for 300K). Today, plan to build up a few more cars with some tunning adjustments. Loving the tracks so faras that is my main focus right now is to get track time even if the AI not not much a challenge.  I did my first lap at Spa (ever) yesterday and now I know why everyone was so excited about it.  That could be my favorite track so far.

As for online play. Im open for anything even if its nothing big.  Just remember to open it it up so some non anniversary cars also as not everyone has them.

Spa is awesome!!!! Waiting until January seems more realistic to start anything "official like"???

Do you want to set up a room after this Saturday's Peugot event?

What happened with FM4?

Guys, I can't run during the week so Thursday nights are out for me. I may run a Saturday Night thing to mirror Thursday night. I am home all day today so I will be on to work on the GoodWood stuff. Really interested in the Light Car Company Rocket. Has anyone driven it? What's it like?

I preordered my anniversary edition from the nearest GAME store as I had a load of trade-in credit which made the anniversary edition effectively free, however I didn't get the Precision Pack extra 5 cars, which I only noticed a couple of days later.

So, I contacted the online chat people and after much going round the houses found out that the store hadn't been told about the promotion, and assumed that everything was in the box. After more going round and round they eventually found some more pre-order codes and I managed to get the Precision Pack cars. Excellent customer service as they guy phoned the store and had a good look, but don't think i'll be preordering anything from them again.

As for progress, I haven't done a great deal, mostly playing around with the new tracks and cars, and setting up user BGM etc. Not sure I have a PS3-compatible headset for any online shenanigans - I have a 360 one I use with the fanatec, I wonder if that'll work if I put it in PS3 mode?

Trelliz, I'll accept your FR next time I fire up the PS3.  I suspected it was someone from here, but I wasn't familiar w/ the name, so I put it in a "holding pattern".  wink

And that goes for everyone.  If I don't accept your request right away, shoot me a message here.  I don't accept FRs unless it's someone I know or am expecting.  wink

So after messing around with the controls I have finally got the joypad somewhere comfortable.

Maybe its the 5 years on the 360 pad but at first I hated the PS pad. Now its just feeling natural and I can concentrate on racing.

Oh yeah Started to tune now and my S2000 is feeling perfect!

Also I have been thinking.

When I host an event I'm going to match the weather outside my window to whats on the game. Should add an element of fun to an event. I could even do a mid week forecast lol.

I am sitting at about 500,000 credits.  Admittedly I have not spent my credits very carefully.  I have not bought many cars, since I started with the 25 15th anniversary cars, but I have been heavily tuning some of the cars and the upgrades are definitely expensive.  I also have been too lazy to get many golds in the license tests and special events.  Rather, I have been content to get bronze medals, which means no free cars and less credits.  frown  My focus has been more on the career racing events and getting gold in as many races as possible.

This is the first gt where I have enjoyed the licence tests. The leaderboards help. Also the Goodwood and moon missions gave some good payouts. Currently sat on 2.4 million by selling cars I don't want.
