On Healthpacks
The lack of healthpacks in Halo 4 has a lot of people excited, but I don't understand the reason for it. I for one like healthpacks since they allow you to prevent yourself from getting an extra death or two a round. I also really like seeing your life bar and knowing exactly how much life I have left. What is the argument against this game mechanic? I am not criticizing people's opinions, I just don't understand the dislike for it. I liked them in Halo CE PC and I was very glad to see them return in Reach.
Never really had an opinion one way or the other. I assume they are doing away with healthpacks partially for story continuity. Reach was a prequel to CE, so it was understandable they included them. H2 & H3 didn't have them so I'm assuming Halo 4,5, and 6 won't either.
The inclusion or exclusion of health packs doesn't matter to me either way. I did like the visual implementation of seeing the exact state of my health, but that also meant I sometimes had to go out of my way or away from teammates (and battel) to find a health pack.
I don't think I will miss them since it will be one less thing to distract me...lol
I am fan of health packs, but don't like that you have to press a button to pick one up in Reach. All too often I find myself picking up weapons near the pack instead of the health itself.
Im not gonna miss them if they are indeed gone(it does look that way) its just one less thing to worry about.
I'm not a fan of the healthpack. It's one more thing to worry about and means that sometimes you never really recover from a perilous fight.
so, whats replacing the health status bar? how will i know if im at one shot (ok, so im always at 1 shot)?
It'll be like the Halo 2/3 shield bar. No shield or a little bit of shield, one (head)shot.
Has bleedthrough been confirmed?
I am presuming certain weapons will continue to have bleed through, as in previous games, but I havenot read about run of the mill weapons or melee.
