There has been in increase in the number of twitch.tv streamers streaming Halo 3 lately.
I noticed there was an increase as soon as H3 was added back to GB.
I prefer to watch H2/H3 game play over Reach, so it's nice that there are more folks streaming the former.
This is interesting in that REACH is maintaining its spot while Halo 3 is increasing. It kind of points to the non-Halo FPS titles are shedding players to Halo.

People that quit playing Halo because they didn't like Reach have found the H3 servers have a decent population again and have started playing.Also, don't discount the fact that some of us playing Reach are going back to playing H3 too.
I think it's a combination of all of the above.
Hopefully Reach will hold to the top 5 and H3 will continue to climb as H4 gets closer.

I agree and have observed plenty of evidence about people moving from REACH to Halo 3. I was pointing at the non-Halo titles because if most of the Halo 3 increases came from REACH, it probably would have dropped down the charts.
Hmm, Reach numbers were exactly the same at 3am Monday morning as they were 9pm Monday night. Glitch? I'm showing 377 in multiteam, 202 in anniversary btb, 1897 in btb, and 105 in super slayer. All exactly the same.

I hope to keep an eye on these numbers this week. The best time to check them is 7-9 Eastern for peak values.
Summer numbers are different than winter. More than usual play in the daytime and less than usual at night. Once school starts, it switchs to the lowest lows in the daytime to the highest highs at night.

that's exactly why i can't play it. i don't have enough free time to play all the Halo i want. a game like that will suck me in and this time next year i'll be single and paying child support.

little over 25K last night, lowest ive ever seen it
Those number have been much higher on weekends even up until last weekend. I've seen +90,000 on weekends and +80,000 on weekdays.
I hope to hear an explanation soon.
Halo 3 is still awsome. I did notice also a very low population in Reach on Sunday, but it was a little early so maybe it picked up.

The population values don't seem to be getting updated.
This morning, total MM value was stuck at 23534. It never changed in 15 minutes. Neither did the separate playlist values.
