Halo 4 - No Campaign Theatre?
Unofficial news. Probably true but be ready for a retraction.
I know I used it a bit for REACH Campaign but not even close to the amount I did for multiplayer. It made sense to have it in REACH Campaign where your customized character appeared in all of the films.
I know I'll miss it a bit. The show and tell moments were always fun to pass on to friends.
Appears to be some confusion on this. Saw a thread started in the Waypoint forums on this, but also saw:

from one of my Mythic campaign brethern, so I don't know what to think. Someone want to tweet BS_Angel to get the lowdown on this?
If theatre indeed is not offered in campaign, I believe that the product is cheapened, There are a lot of peeps out there (including me) that use campaign film to generate film clips and how to guides and are going to be asking why the hell it's not being offered, especially since it was available in H3, ODST, and Reach,

Edit: Decided to tweet BS_Angel myself. I will update when I get an answer, if I get one.

With campaign being on its own disc maybe they thought it wasn't that important.
Actually that was a generic statement. I think my Mythic pal jumped to conclusions. I did tweet about 4 hours ago to BS_Angel and have not gotten a response. Another of the Mythic community also tweeted asking for clairification. This is really a big deal to the campaign gurus (of which I am humbly one) so these peeps are really nervous about this. I did see a thread on this in the waypoint forum basically stating that he had from a good source that there was no theater in campaign. Just went back in and it appeared to be gone, but I finally found it under the title "Redacted" buried about 7 pages in on the Halo 4 forum -- I recognized the gamertag -- His OP was changed to this:
No theater for campaign is confirmed in the 11/1/12 Halo Bulletin:
"Theater Mode in Campaign did not make the cut for launch for various reasons of scheduling, rendering issues and some significant engine changes. However, we are treating Title Updates very differently for Halo 4 and rather than simply using them as opportunities for simple big fixes, we are thinking of them as a way to sustain and grow features and options, so it is possible you could see Saved Films made available for Campaign (as well as some other significant features) at some time in the not-too-distant future, but that's yet to be determined."
Pfffffffffffffft
I can do live caps of campaign runs but that is a pain in the butt. Campaign theater was a nice feature in H3, ODST, and Reach. Apparently 343 didn't throw enough resources at this, or the video render capability to get it done by launch.
Being that Halo 4 is a modified Reach engine, I don't understand why this feature couldn't be easily implemented.
