So, we know there is a Gravity Hammer in mission 8 of the Halo 4 campaign. I thought this meant that Brutes would be back for sure, but maybe not. Who else would be wielding a Grav Hammer? That is traditionally a Brute weapon.

Yes but except for some kind of story element Frank O'Connor says Brutes are not in Halo 4.

I was kind of looking forward to the 343i designed Brutes too. Oh well.
I could see Elites with them, they're the only other Covenant race strong enough to wield them. I'm really happy that this means Grifball will be back.
When I saw this Halo 4 Spartan Ops video I had thought that this was clearly a Brute at the beginning of the video, but now I'm not so sure. I'm still not 100% convinced.
I assumed that was an Elite. Too skinny to be a Brute.
I don't know. He looks beefier than the typical Elite. Maybe some Brutes and Elites got together and made a hybrid race. Super-sized Elites that can wield Grav Hammers. They could be called 'Brulites'. Hah, sounds like some European light beer. Though I like that better than 'Elutes'. Also note that mission 8 is the last mission of the Halo 4 campaign. I wonder if that's what Frankie can't talk about.
Meh, as long as Grunts explode into confetti with a headshot I don't care.
I'll miss sniping them in the head, causing them to flip. Other than that, I miss the brute shot.

I never thought the brutes were that great. The elites were always so much cooler.
