This is not a biggy but it sure seemed like it was announced for July. Remember where it came from? The key word for me was "kickoff" and that's why I thought July was the release month.

When the ability to copy discs to your hard drive came out, Bungie told everyone not to since the game was written to be played from the disc, and hard drive play would slow the game down. Maybe that's why its not coming out. (For all I know, that could have been included in the post, but I can't watch the video right now at work.)

It is included in the free titles, just not definite for July. I suspect the hard drive issues you mention are either mitigated in the GOD version or they are simply ignoring the minor limitations in performance. It didn't affect immediate game play as far as I know.

I downloaded both H3 and Reach right after they came out due to my poor luck with disc read errors and I never had any issues except for maybe lag but that has seemed to be the norm on XBL.
