Halo 3 embarrassment...again

Watching one of Tyrant's Legendary walkthrough vids where you have to fight two Scarabs before you go after the Prophet of Truth...I always have a tough time of this section, even with the strategy of jumping onto a Scarab and dealing with it that way.  I watched in amazement as he took a tank, rolled it down a pathway I didn't know existed, parked on a small rise and destroyed the first Scarab without even being shot at, as it was busy turning around following a Pelican.

I now wonder how much there is in Halo3 I just don't notice because I'm playing the way I thought it HAD to be played!  80

That was a level where it was fun to try different stuff.

There's a lot in H3, ODST, and Reach (as well as CE Anniv) campaigns where tactics aren't apparent.  Tyrant has definitely created some entertaining and enlightening guides both for Legendary and for Mythic (solo, legendary, all skulls on, no deaths, no save and quits).

I have used Tyrant's guides as well as successful runs of others to do some of these "runs."

For example, the H3 Floodgate mission - Mythic in 5 1/2 minutes (last 2 minutes of video is the cut scene)::

Achy, you guys are INSANE.  Mythic is something I won't touch with a 39-1/2  foot pole!  I'm watching that vid and wondering, "Where did all the enemies disappear to??"

LOL.  It is amazing that there are a number of places where you can just run by the enemy -- in this case the flood.  As soon as you stop, you're a goner.
