So far, nothing from MS ever sells out. (Dig at Legendary Halo 3 and REACH)
Sounds like a great deal. I checked around a little. Best Buy has the Limited Edition out there for pre-order, but shows 12/31/12 as the store pickup date. The other retailers don't even have it listed yet. Probably will have to wait a little while until everyone gets their act together.

All that has been confirmed so far are the 3 map packs of 3 maps per pack included in the limited edition. Obviously (to me) LE owners get the DLC first followed by regular DLC 2-4 weeks later. I expect confirmation of more map packs beyond that from E3 2012, a wishy washy response that really means No or an out right No.
We don't yet know how many multiplayer maps will be coming with the Halo 4 release. I am expecting a descent amount considering there isn't any FireFight.
Some of this will depend on the release of Halo 5. Some people are speculating it's release in Fall 2014, with or without the XBox 720.
I haven't placed my order yet. I'm curious to see if they will be including any kind of retailer specific digital goodies as the launch date approaches.
So I ordered the LE from amazon but there's no option for release day delivery. There is for the SE. Will they update that at some point you think? If not I'm canceling.

I'm sure they'd offer this on the LE version, it wouldn't make sense not to. I'll probably preorder with Amazon or WalMart with relase date delivery depending on who has what goodies!

Sounds like E3 is going to feature huge Halo 4 news.
I like they are including map packs in the Limited Edition. I might actually pony-up the extra funds as it sounds like a nice bang-for-the-buck.
Im going to see if there is going to be a special edition console coming as well..... who knows

Well the number of maps at release has averaged to around ~10 over the 4 main games. Expect that at least.

yeah its strange the SE has the option but the LE.
Yeah I usually do amazon as well so im hoping for it. Besides I like their armor skin offer the best.
