Plan was going to get a ps3 tonight while shopping. Instead I went to get in my car to set off and got a screw in the side wall of a tyre. £120 notes to get going again.
Im stuck at work all day but my wife picked up my copy. Won't get home till midnight...guess I'll be up late playing Forza 4 while the day one patch loads up in GT6.
Anyone know how long the day one patch takes to load up?

Not long Snappy. It took about 10 minutes to download with my 50 mbps broadband connection.
Loving the game so far. Only downside out of the box is no multi-monitor support, but I am sure that is coming in an update. The Day 1 patch is 1.2 GB, but it downloaded and installed fast for me. The game menus are much faster than GT5. My CSW wheel and Clubsport pedals work fine, as does my Basherboards SFA-1 connected Thrustmaster THR8S shifter. The FFB is definitely improved over GT5, I feel what the car is doing much better. The graphics are a big step up from GT5, the lighting is particularly striking. There is some minor slowdown when there is a lot going on on screen, but it is minimal. The cockpit views look awesome, even higher end than GT5. The AI is no walk in the park, but if you have a good car and avoid crashing, you can win each race. I already busted out my first 15th anniversary edition car, the Ford Focus, and it drives great. It is awesome to have so many new tracks. Just tried Brands Hatch, and I am about to do Willow Springs.

Zero...Did you receive the codes for additional cars and if so were they on the car carrier to download.....All of Them?

Yes, there is one code for all 25 15th Anniversary Edition cars. It is on a slip of paper in the game box. You can enter the code in game, no need to go to the PSN store, although you can do that if you want. After you enter the code, everything will download and install. The cars will then automatically appear in your garage. There is no longer any truck that you have to direct the cars from into the garage. Woohoo!!!!

Such a trivial matter but thats so fucken awesome, what a waste of precious time that was! I like what I'm hearing boys except that National A requirement for on-line, whats the general concensus on the time effort that takes?
Sounds like the bonus cars might get you through a good part of the career while saving for more serious races like to embarrass yourself in front of your 2O4F brethren, I have a code for those 25 cars when I put the disk in tomorrow so that sounds wonderful. In the last 1.5 years I haven't purchased over 25 Forza cars, probably half that if I didn't purchase 8 or so Ferraris a couple weeks ago for Mugello.
Too late and too drunk to start GT6 tonight :) :( so best bet is to pack it in and get an early start for tomoirrow. Ooh mama hope no nightmares about National A bullshit me hopes.

Getting an A license is cake, particularly if you have the 25 15th anniversary cars. Don't worry about it. You can do it is 1-2 hours if you are more focused than I was. The name of the game is to get Bronze or above on each of two five race license tests. Very easy and quick.
Guys, you will need to earn your National A license in order to race online and/or participate in seasonal events. Keep that in mind if you want to start doing GT6 online right away.

I got the game this weekend and didn't have a chance to check it out, I guess I know what I will be doing tonight.
Indeed, with a good balance of cars, you really dont need to buy anything yet. The 25 15th Anniversary Edition cars will do nicely for now
The only car we have to buy is the Honda Fit at the beginning of the game. Otherwise, I have not needed to buy any car. The 15th anniversary cars are awesome.

OHHH OHHHHH!!!!!....Got Gifted the Mercedes for Seasonal....Don't Ask Me How...Must of Been Santa......Winning Gold $25,000....One Time and One Time Only.....WHATTTTTTTTTT???
Myself personally I try to shoot for all golds on the license tests because you get two cars instead of one. The tests get harder and the gifted cars get better. Pay out on most of the races are pretty slim but some of the events pay out $30k (lunar challenges are the only ones ive done so far.) Im really glad they brought back the coffee breaks I always enjoyed those.
What happend?
Sorry to hear that, Church.

That's shit church. Frikkin cars.
They don't simulate that in a game do they.

Some tidbits Parcells has read about today (2nd hand info. of course but not sure why people would fib about this stuff though) that make me happy…
- Can shift into reverse – stupid GT5 you need to use a button to reverse
- Can tune on the fly (I assume this means you no longer have to exit to the lobby) – awesome!

Also make sure you turn off all assists. The game defaults to 5 TCS and 1 ABS each time you switch cars.

CPro....The thing is....It is a One Shot Deal!
Updated car rewards....
Thank that Parcells!!!

Has anyone been able to find out if we can gift funds, cars, and tunes? Or is that stuff possibly coming with the January update?
Haven't seen it, would bet for the January update.

Parcells, Let me know if you make any updates to the list as I copied it to the OP and can keep it updated as we know more.
