If you are wanting or expecting Destiny to be another Halo as far as gameplay, then you probably should cancel your pre-order.
The little I've seen mentioned about MM is that people will be bringing their created characters into matches against others. Meaning, you'll bring your powers and unlocks into the game. However, since basically that's all they've said, it's hard to know exactly what they have in mind.
The BETA will be when we really get an idea. Assuming it has PvP.
Right now the game looks like a Halo/Borderlands hybrid. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I don't expect this to be like Halo (again, not necessarily a bad thing).
I don't expect it will be another Halo. I do hope I soon find something that gives me the kind of feels that I get when playing Halo. Immersion, skillful fun, enjoyable strategy/tactics and in your face smack talking with friends. I don't plan to be in the Beta. I'm not trying to get into it but would accept a free token, I guess. I found the Halo 3 beta kind of spoiled the newness of the final release. There will be plenty of videos and photos plus player reactions to feed me until release.
