Forza cave 2.0 or why I am not around - finished!!

So being online is always erratic for me during the summer. Work gets crazy, AutoX, and the wife wants to go do things. This summer our project was removing carpet and installing hard surfaces.  We finished the living room and the kitchen and now on to the good stuff. In the process of redoing the basement I weaseled my way into a full redo of the movie/game room. I am posting some before pictures and will update as I get closer. Have only had Forza unplugged for 3 days and am starting have withdrawals. [IMG]http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l528/Ringmastre/House/626f25cf.jpg[/...

Here are some pics of the living room and kitchen. No contractors or hired help.

I love the older houses!  I just purchased a '65 ranch style house myself.

Nice work ringmastre!!

I was going to look at a 1904 down in the Birchwood area w/ a detached shop....but it sold before I got a chance to go look at it.  sad

But that's ok, I've always been a sucker for the mid-century houses.  wink

The raked ceiling is upstairs the flat is in the basement. Sherb I have turned into a junkie over this style of home. I hit every estate sale and antique shop I can. Probably better than 70% of the furniture and lighting was mnfg prior to 1975. It's all about the hunt. Didn't pay more than 100$ for any single pice of furniture. At this point we are running out of room for any more.  I do have 2 extra coffee tables I'd be willing to part with but shipping from Montana would probably be a bitch.

Too bad one wouldn't fit in the Mustang.  I'm actually on my way out to South Dakota this weekend.  smiley

I assume you're probably familiar w/ the rag "Atomic Ranch"?

So today we move the other 2 rooms full of stuff into the cave tostar putting down flooring. I have been up since 5 am installing new light fixtures. Also incl in today's agenda: trip to goodwill, drop off old fixtures at the ReStore, old flooring to the dump, and go set up the AutoX course for tommorow. I know it's gonna be worth it when finished but damn.
