Forza is going to be the first disc I put in the X1 tomorrow night. I'm still upset at some of the tracks that were left out, the ring for instance. Overall though I am still excited to get my hands on the game. I have high hopes that they add some tracks later since my understanding is they didn't include a track if it wasn't updated with a new scan or the real life track layout had changed from what they had.
Maybe it’s just me. But after watching/reading a half dozen, I’ve developed the impression that the reviewers who spent the most time with previous Forzas seem more likely to score it lower, in the 7 to 8 range, than reviewers new to or less experienced with the franchise. For instance, above Sessler gives top marks. On the other hand the dude from Eurogamer says 7.

Kudos for that. FWIW, I can’t access “Forza 5 Information and Discussion Area”. Says I’m not authorized. So being here gives me a peeping tom sort of feeling which, to be honest, I quite enjoy.
This looks like one of the best, if not the best of the launch titles. Good racing games generally offer a crap ton of play time for the price of admission, an important trait if investing in a console limits how many games someone could afford. Guess that's the long way to say if I had $600, this would be a launch title for me.
Very interesting reviews. Though they have their ups, I have not seen those numbers of reservations in previous releases. The drivatar comments had me worried too, as I was expecting this to be one of the few big changes for the better. But then again, can't you choose your FL drivatars. If that is the case, as long as you leave Fitzy off you'll be fine.
Oh, if anyone wants to watch a bag of feral cats fight it out, I reckon there might be something right up your street over at FM.net in the next week or so. Always is, every release. Mods will be hefting their ban hammers widely. Dreams will be shattered. Fanboys will dismiss and belittle. Maybe it's a bad thing, but I have my popcorn waiting to go......sound happy?....
........wish I could justify the cash for this a the moment
I am picking up my LCE though. Will just have to stare at it longingly, and resist raiding the kids savings.

LOL, I'm right there with you Poids, thinking about framing mine until I can pry the pennies loose for the system.

That is one of the things Parcells is most interested in...Can you actually pick and choose whose Drivatars you want to race against or will it be pick the generic skill level and Turn10 will find them for you? I do not trust the latter.
Off topic a bit but try being a pilot and going to a flight sim forum. OMG that is freaking hilarious. Some people are truely scary in what they consider experience.
I race in a sim game, therefore I am a race car driver!
Well, I am one of a few in here that have raced, so I get your point of view. Although most of my experience was on dirt, and reflecting back, that might show...

That's the review I watched. They mention both the reduction in cars and that only about half the tracks are availalbe.
Here's an interesting review from a guy who's porbably not looking at the game from our perspective which makes it somewhat interesting

In other news, I’m also developing an odd feeling I’ve crept thru a back door that's been left slightly ajar . . . . . .
We are open to everyone

Bottom of this review states that car clubs are absent - anybody seen this being mentioned anywhere else?

HAHA Poids I'm getting my popcorn ready. I love to instigate though so maybe I should post some things with my signature saying "Paid for by Turn10".gif)
Sounds like a fresh opportunity to get "hammered". It's been a year or better, you can never predict what will do it, very inconsistent over there.
I used to like to get into it, now I prefer to simply watch. It's like Geek Squad Jerry Springer, I tire of all the hostility.
