Dum Questions
Ive been a halo gamer only for the past 11 years and the only thing i have played besides halo is battlefield bad company 2. My son has recently had me play BF3 for the past couple nights and ive realized alot has changed.
Now here come the dumb questions,
1.What is the maximum level for each gun because i recently have been trying to upgrade the Scar H, and also is there an attachment for the Scar H to decrease the recoil?
2. How do I mark enemies because i remember you could do it in BC2, can you still mark?
Guns in Battlefield can have up to almost 20 attachments. The maximum levels will vary from weapon to weapon based on kill counts. For the SCAR H, you unlock all attachments at 350 kills. For recoil, the foregrip will reduce the horizontal muzzle drift and the flash suppressor will reduce the vertical recoil. The heavy barrell will also increase accuracy while aiming, but is reduced while firing from the hip.
If I remember correctly marking is done automatically when you spot them in BF3, as long as you play in Normal mode. It has been a while since I played this mode. There is no marking in Hardcore.

Yes back button to spot. There is a cooldown period to prevent spamming.
I've used the Scar H a lot. Most of the attachments aren't very useful, I normally go with the simple iron sights and forgrip.
General advice is always play in a squad, spot enemies, find good players on your team and follow them. Also going gunner in a chopper or tank is good way to find your way around and get a few kills.
