Clubsport V2 Pedal review – Terrible

My review is terrible, the pedals are excellent. First and foremost, plugged them in played for a couple hours and not once did I lose power or any other bullshit my 2.5 year old V1 clubsports have been acting up with over the past couple of months. They’re basically the same as V1 except $50.00 more expensive. They have more color with the foot plate, pedal columns and primary structure being black, pedals themselves are shiny sort of chrome like. The brake pressure dial is marked with a graduated scale…something very simple but clearly lacking with V1. The brake may or may not be a little smoother. Definitely smoother than my V1 brake right now but they’re well used. Comes with #800 & #1200 silicone oil for replacement and/or different brake pressures but what it came with works fine. Feels great. The clutch is as advertised with a noticeably different feeling between 1/3 & 2/3 pedal distance travelled. I don’t use the clutch any more*** but it seemed easier to know when (pedal distance travelled) the clutch would engage/disengage with the added feedback from the clutch. WARNING for those with Rennsport stand (or those who otherwise don’t bolt there pedals down). Along the back bar where all the pedals hinge on everything is flush with the V1 pedals but not with the V2 pedals. Part of the solution for the clutch was to place two parabolic curved plates on the hinge of the brake pedal and they stick out about a quarter inch. Point being, the pedals sit slightly crooked if you use the fanatic pedal stopper. They will also rub somewhat hard against the pedal stopper when the clutch is used. It’s not my intent (maybe just a little) to give Basherman evidence to go off on Fanatec but this quarter of an inch is really bush league when you consider it doesn’t work well other products Fanatec makes. *** I use ACL now but did I ever learn something important while testing the clutch and using ACL together. That being when you’re at a standstill (from a spinoff or whatever) you need to use the real clutch to get going and not use ACL. I’ve been struggling with starting from a standstill for some time now and chalked it up to my pedal woes but the pedals had nothing to do with it. My revs were not high enough (starting @ 0) and the ACL clutch didn’t always take (never took) the first time and it would take me a good 5 seconds to get going. If I use the real clutch I can rev the bastard up before dropping the clutch. I’m usually not this slow of a learner but this racing stuff is hard.My mind must have dumbed down when I dumbed down my SIM racing with ACL?
