Claim YOUR Racing number here!
Hey guys,
To race in events you need to display your racing number.
How do I get one I hear?
1. Check here to see what numbers have been taken Race Numbers Google Spreadsheet
2. Decied on a number (No same numbers allowed)
3. Once you have thought of a number post in this topic the following details.
a. The number you want
b. Your gamertag
c. The club you are currently in.
d. The country you live in
e. Your timezone
4. Thats it. I will check this topic from time to time and added the numbers that have been requested.
Cheers!
no need for the brackets anymore with links. just paste em'
Or if you prefer to paste a link as text, simply highlight the text & you'll see one of the greyed options at the top of the box change. One of then is an insert link option that will embed the link into the highlighted text.
FYI - For those with a 3 digit muber that starts with zero, make sure to put a * or something in front of it, othwerwise Google Drops the leading zero.
Try it now. I changed the format of the column to plain text so it wont do that. It will still sort properly too. I hope the author doesn't mind.
Fixed, thanks. I was looking how to do that, but haven't done enough in Google Docs Spreadsheets.
My bad! I forget the whole 01 001 000001 actually means something in virtual racing. Thanks for the change.
Looks like it doesn't sort correctly... That sucks.
Sorted it manually.
Cheers!
Excel uses the ' before numbers to use as text, or to keep the zero to the front.
YOu could also just use a decimal point and it would sort to the forefront as it should too...
still keeps dropping my "0" on my # 044
try putting a decimal point in front of it Jimmy.
I did and it comes out 0.044, just like anthonyjkiller. I will try something else.
Ok got it now just added the # and all is good
Excel, and most spreadsheet wannabe's are formatted to use an asterisk before a number you want used as text. That way it doesn't get rounded up, down, decimal places adjusted, etc...
or you could use an Oh instead of a zero...
*044
Could I have the # 71 if it isn't taken. I used to be #171.
If it's open on the spreadsheet, then it's you'rs
Oh I need to add my gt to the sheet.
Yea, I am back to 73, was 730.
Something has gone very wrong on the speadsheet, I have the wrong number and mine is showing up against someone else.
I think someone resorted the car number column without including the Gamertag in the sort.
I've got OldSchool's number and NakedRescue has mine.
Fixed mine and OldSchool. I don't know what NakedResue's is.
Unless someone has a backup, we should go back in and correct our numbers.
FYI, I reset the spreadsheet back to the revision from the morning of March 19th because someone f'd it up by missing a column when they tried to sort it.
Cheers!
Let me know if you want me to do this...
At MFG, in your profile, there is a field to enter your racing number. Right now it only displays next to a drivers name when they are signed up for a 2o4f event.
I could throw up a new page that lists the numbers that will allow people to sort them or filter them anyway they want while the background data ould remain untouched always.
I could also add a column to show the current club each member belongs to which could be cool/useful as well.
If someone wanted to edit their number, it would be in their own profile and there wouldn't be any worries about altering anyone elses data.
It would take me a few minutes tops since the number is already optionally being stored. This would force people to use MFG but it would be safer than an open google doc and if event coordinators ever start using the event system (its ready;its open;it works!), users would at least be a little used to MFG.
Let me know here and VIA PM if this is wanted.
Yes that would be a good idea if you could incorporate that into MFG and get it on a standardized system.
Cheers!
Done and done.
Users must edit their profile to add in their racing number, country and time zone.
I would reccommend that everyone use the same in-game club member acronym to make life easier and things look better, but its not mandatory.
The list shows username, gamertag, racing number, club, country and time zone.
The link to this is on the main 2o4f section in the floating menu:
[2O4F] Misc Links --> 2O4F Roster
So, spread the word this is live as of now.
Oooops
I can't log into my profile from the link above and I don't remeber my driver number.
Any help is appreciated - Thanks.
try just going to mfg.com & logging in. Up near the top, you'll see a tab saying "welcome username" highlight it to activate a dropdown menu. From there you should see the edit profile option.
I can't log in either, and I have in the past. Is this a re-occurring problem?
After two and a half years of trying out this clan thingy as a 2O4F member Parcells has decided to stick with the clan and have officially adopted #11 as my race number. Thanks to Fitzy and OldSchool for persuading me to end my apprenticeship and become a full fledged member.
Looking forward to no longer being a has-been and having the respect from my fellow members. It seems I've successfully pulled the wool over your eyes
Ok is this the "official" racing numbers list? Or is there another list somewhere else?
The reason I ask is the number 44 is vacant now and I would like to drop my 0 and go with the 44 number.
I'm the one that always had #44 and I will continue to use that number even in the World Championship, but due to the fact that I don't run hardly any 2O4F events you may have it and I won't be putting a number on the list.
KIWI JORDAN KID
Thank you. Are you sure about this? I ran the number back in my IMCA Modified days and so it is special to me. Thanks again, I will be using it.
