4X damage from miniguns when using Defensive specialization

We played a game where a dude would sit all game long on a Zodiac in front of a conquest point on the minigun. This guy was stalking up kills left and right.

Well that a bit disconcerting to know that most of my issues aren't even on the list. Does that mean Xbox 1 owners are SOL when it comes to the lost SP saves. Has anyone gotten the Battlelog - "Battlemap" companion on Glass to work on android tablet? Mine starts to load and then poof, back to the main screen.

Meanwhile, I 'm gonna go find me a minimgun whilst I can.

DICE devs tweeted something about the upcoming across platform patches and updates:

"Rebalance.  DMR. v40, RGO, FB, MAA, Heli, hand flares."

I think it would be great if the DMRs had a higher damage output model.  I haven't been impressed with them and because they seem to be severely underpowered, haven't really used them a lot.  With some higher damage, they could be a really useful weapon.  I think nerfing the v40 and RGO would be good.  Anything that cuts down on 'nade spam, thought a v40 mini nerf is going to cost me a few kills a game.   Loves me some mini-nades!  I think truly blinding flash bangs and hand flares would be awesome. I don't have too much of an opinion on mobile anti-air or helis.  Haven't played enough conquest to see if they are OP or not, but balance is always a good thing so long as they don't touch the L85A2, that is.

If you play run&gun and like DMRs but find them underpowered, try the SKS.  It actually does a hair less damage per bullet than most of the others, but has the highest fire rate and the least recoil, so it's easy to have steady aim and spam shots.  With a mid-range scope I think it's a very solid option.  You can beat out ARs easily from med to long distance.  (If someone's in your face you better get the first shot or you're going down.)  Keep in mind it's a 3-4 shot kill on normal and 2-3 shot kill on hardcore so you should always think you're going to need to spam off 4 shots or so to get a kill.  Actually it's especially beastly on hardcore because most times it's a 2-shot kill and it handles pretty quickly.  I still get the most kills if I play an AR, but the SKS is close, especially on more open maps.  If they up the damage model even a little I'm going to beast with that thing.

In BC3 the SKS was my gun of choice with a silencer on it. Metro map was my favorite with it.

Excellent!  Thanks for the tip/advice.   I'll have to grind a bit to get to the SKS but now that you mention it, it is up there in terms of what I get killed by frequently.   Certainly the top DMR but it does seem to hold its own with the ARs and Carbines.  I think I'd do pretty well with something that is accurate, so someting to work toward unlocking.

I understand the MAA may be a bit overpowered. However, the other option cannot be getting constantly spawn killed by choppers with repair people on board. They shouldn't be overpowered but they should be feared by jets/choppers.

Yup ! Classic Dice. Nerf it too far in the opposite direction.

Hainan Resort was a heli rape fest this evening with the repair sparks flying out the sides of all the choppers.

I'm an MAA whore, self-confessed, but I might become a re-born tank ho, or stinger hooker now.

I think to help solve the MAA "issue" is to make the AA missle reload a little longer like they are on the choppers and jets.  I don't think they are OP.  I've seen guys on Lancang Dam turn in crazy KDR too, but I've also seen choppers and jets completely own the sky because the person in the MAA either sucked at it or teammates with tanks actually took the MAA out.  It just requires teamwork to negate the MAA.

 

Also, the DMR sucks ass, major rage QQ using those POS guns.
