You can still buy the cheap steam early access, so if you've been on the fence for this game mayby now is the time to get it.
Edit: Wow, what an update! Graphics, physics and sound are MUCH better. The game runs more stable in terms of FPS with more detail. I'd say an upgrade from FM4 to FM5 graphics wise.
Running 5760x1080, 4x anamorphic filter and 8x MSAA at 60+ FPS.
I downloaded the large update last night and played the new version of the game for about an hour. My experience is the same as Zeratul's, the game runs much smoother now, with better FPS, even with a fair amount of eye candy at my triple screen resolution of 5760 X 1200. I also love that the game has a career mode, since I do not play multiplayer. The career mode is tough, even the Novice events present quite a challenge, but it is fun. The graphics are eye poppingly good, the cars look amazing, as do the tracks. FFB is nice and strong. Some folks don't like the grippy nature of the cars, but I am fine with that. You can still lose traction, its just not as icey as other sims.
