So riddle me this why do we have damage on races and then people complain about the damage on? Isn't the purpose so people drive a little bit more cautious and don't just fly into walls and stuff? It just seemed yesterday day that people drive all crazy at the start of the race when jockying for position, when the fact of the matter is that you are only really competiting with 3 or 4 other people during the next 45 minutes.  Does that first turn really matter that much?

Yes, the 1st turn does matter. Unfortunately folks don't always remember to race carefully at the start. that's why we switched the start to a 1 second roll-off delay between cars. Like in life, just because you see a hole open up, doesn't mean you should stick something in it.smiley

A race can never be won on the first corner. It can easialy be lost though.

I need to remember that :-)

How do you create a poll for our group? OR, assuming the answer to that is "use the "Create poll" link in the "group details" section on the right." then WHERE exactly does the poll end up so people can vote?

the poll will be at the top of the thread where you created it.

Then maybe we should be addressing my first question of HOW to create a poll?

1) I created a Poll (for my Good Friday event) WHEN I was viewing the race event sub forum so I was not in a thread when I created the poll.

2) Where is the option to create a poll WHEN your viewing a thread?

It would appear it can only be done in the GROUP section...at least at this time.

In the youtube videos church posted yesterday in one of the videos, I believe the one on using your eyes, it stated not to have your TV or monitor too far away from you and/or too higjh.  When I race I sit in my recliner but my television is mounted on my wall which is a few feet higher than where I am sitting and it's 5-10 feet away from where my setup is.  Is this going to have any kind of diffenence on me?  Just curious.  Thanks!

XShouldn't make that big of a difference. I'm about the same distance from my screen.

I usually race with my eyes closed as you can tell by my inability to stay on the track.

I'll have a race school session anytime you'd like. Just give a shout/text when you're free if I'm not online. 615-969-7675

I got sent an in-game invite to join another club yesterday by someone i work with. Is it possible to be a member of more than one club? Looking at the way the club section in the game is laid out i would guess not but just wanted to check.

thanks

Kevin

2o4f has never been a stickler for demanding exclusive membership. We have some of the fastest from some of the fastest all over the Forza community that like to hang here.

That said, Forza4 is set up so you can only be in one Club at a time.

Are they someone that would be happy here? Don't forget your friends list too. There are ways to cope.

thanks oldschool. they are over 25 so would qualify for membership. I might ask them.

i'm having great fun racing with you guys so far so don't really want to leave - especailly the Seat cup. first race was awesome! And you are all generous with help and guidance which is great for someone new to the online racing side like me! Shame the game doesn't allow more than one membership really

Parcells is gonna solve your dilemma Kevlar...its simple really just dont leave. What's important to understand is that changing in game car clubs is not the same as leaving 2O4F, one has no direct bearing on the other.

Yes, totally agree.

Also a shame it's limited to 100 people, same with friends list. I'm constantly shuffling to make room.

OK, what the hell is going on here?

I had a minor incident last week involving wine and a resulting stained my shirt. I’ve had at least 4 people tell me to shout it out but I’ve been yelling at my shirt for 3 days now and the stain has not subsided at all. What the hell am I doing wrong?

Perhaps you aren't shouting at the proper resonant frequency of the stain. They usually only come out when being shouted at by a woman because of the higher frequency range that they usually acheive (I.E. the scream of the banshee or your wife on a bad day).

I think that frequency is commonly referred to as "shrill"...

Bit of a newb question...

Say I wanted to join an event. I assume I sign up for it on the events page, then what? Will I be sent an invite for the race in-game or is there a section on Forza4 for club races that I'm just overlooking?

You might want to send a FR to the person hosting the event. That will make it easier for him to invite you come race time. Otherwise, sign up, show up, & have fun. the host will take care of everything else.
