Something, has to give in my schedule.its the busiest time of my business year and I can't get away with all this on a Sunday. Shit, I've not even ditched the box on in days. Not even a lap in either btcc or v8's.
@church - its an awesome series but it's one too many for me. I can just about squeeze in the earlier v8's but that's it.
that was a wild ride in room B. More a contact sport, right? With flying cars. Wow. Mine too. I did the "Church". I think checking the replay, will be fun.
Did someone notice my special Danica-design? The Lady made it to the eigth place in the "great american race".
Also I will be changing the rooms this week with 3 drivers moving up to Room A and 3 will be moving down from A to B
Currently Fitzy will be in Room A from next week. I need to talk to the stewards about who to put in room B and who else needs moving around.
As always please PM me by this time tomorrow with any issues.
Also thanks to steviegers for hosting.
It was a hard track this week, maybe a little too hard as there was some contact in all 3 races in room A.
Hope to see you all next week though!
No problem boss the guys all helped with the running of the room. A few big hits tonight not sure who was affected plus very hard track to pass on. Can anyone send me the replays plz
Pm sent to you with results of all 3 races from room B Church.
As for the amount of contact in Room B, Well, JDAN was pretty accurate. It seems with the difference in connections due to distances apart in room B that there is a bit of lag between some of the players. I notice it with Jimee, Knight, and a few other racers. I expect some kind of repremand against me for at least one point of contact to be honest. Just couldn't stop in time to react to the players in front of me on a couple of occasions. Whoever I may have accidentally collided with tonight, I apologize and will take full punishment if given. Good tough racing on a tough course.
Oh and I "Churched" a number of times too, 2 times on 2 consectutive laps in the 2nd race I think. On the exact same corner. I heard a number of close "Churches" or actual "Churches" happening. It's official Church, that move has been now named. Soon it might be renamed after me especially after that last track.
I just gave up, pointless, the room was manky with lag. my connection was fine I can always tell because the audio from comms breaks up when my connection is bad, but they were fine...I double checked my connection speeds and they were fine...But half the cars in the room were flying around, I had two perfectly fine races on the PC today but Xbox...
Im working on getting the 1st and 3rd replays. I was too busy getting the placements of people to get it. I have the 2nd one, I'll gift them over ASAP.
Little bit bored at work so might as well stick my oar in.....
Although there was a fair bit of contact in Room A, some of which I was directly affected by, I still really enjoyed the races again and think this series continues to deliver exactly what Church has set out to achieve, which is very close racing with a great spread of different cars on a lot of different tracks. It provides the perfect environment for getting better at driving in traffic when most of us are attacking and defending at the same time.
In a series like this there is always going to be a constant risk of contact as the game makes it difficult to be fully aware of everything that is going on around you when the cars are all so close to each other. One point I would make though is that the scoring system is such that over the course of the season the odd extra place won or lost her and there in an individual race won't actually make much difference, so frequently it will be better to hold your position and take advantage of solid opportunities to pass when you get them, rather than applying a more traditional bulldoze through the field approach. Even if a few of us are unlucky with lag-induced incidents from time to time this should even itself out over the course of the season and having 3 sets of points drops as well will even things out further. Although the races are relatively short, 8-10 laps still provides plenty of time to gradually work through the field (be that forwards or backwards!)
On reflection I'm not entirely sure of my point, but I've written it now so might as well leave it there!
As you say, the championship is scored on your average score over the entire 30 race season.
If in 30 races you come last a few times it wont really matter as long as you counter that with a few podiums ect. Also your lowest 9 scores are wiped. That means you can come last 9 times but still win the championship!
We will see this once I have done the results for both rooms tomorrow and included the first point drop. Shall we just say its going to be real tight.
I will be doing a race report tomorrow as I have done for the past few weeks. Importantly it will include details on who is going up to room A and who will be moving down to Room B.
@Jdan can you gift the replays to me please as I wont be able to save them from your S/F only watch them.
Fair point Mr. White but and it is a big but, the lag in room B just removed any fun for me, I don't give a damn where I come, I do a fair amount of series where if I finish I class it as a result. But when there is nothing I can do to avoid an accident because I don't even know where cars actually are...well it's all just a bit too throw the dice for me. It pains me because I really wanted to enjoy this, it's right up my street, and I think the job Church has done setting it all up is outstanding, but the issues I have are beyond his control and irritating as it may be for some I have to compare my experience with Xbox with the racing I do on PC, no lag to speak of and that means win or lose is down to me, not down to a car flying over me and landing on my bonnet...
I guess being the sucker for punishment I am I will try again next week...
@ Knight, I take your point, lag issues can quite easily completely ruin a race and are a nightmare in a tight field. You can be following a car which suddenly goes from being 50ft ahead to being 0.5ft ahead! or in mid-air!!
I have been watching the replays though and everything I have seen upto now is due to lag or a simple racing incident (Non intentional)
If someone thinks they was hit pretty bad PM me please.
I will be watching the last few races tomorrow.
Although like I said (And si) it was a very hard track to race on, never mind overtake and as everyone is so close all the time accidents will happen. Its the main reason I turned damage off when I was going to run limited as no one would possibly finish lol
I will put them on my storefront and send them to Church.
I may not make tomorrows race as working tonight, tomorrow. I`ll see if I get up in time.
No worries Bongo.
Ohhhh I don't like this track lol
May miss todays race. Have fun all.

After may 18th all will be golden.
Good luck everyone.
No worries poids.
See you in the V8s
Please note steviegers will be the host of room B tonight.
Cheers!
Good racing in room A.
I need to look at room B replays and race 2 and 3 in room A.
Any punishments will be issued by PM.

Yeah it was a very hard track to do anything on fella.
Race 1 I was second from last!
Next weeks track should be a lot better.
For anyone doing any laps your looking at around 56 seconds a lap
As anyone got the replays for Room B please.

Fun races just wish I could have gotten in on the first two weeks. Handicaps stink btw
Don't worry about missing the first 2 races BMW as your lowest 3 weekends are drooped!
The handicaps work though. We had 3 different winners last night in Room A and the top 3 was mixed for all 3 races.
Hello,
I will put all three vids from room B onto my storefront.
Hey, the track is great, funny and challenging. I love it. The track with my first podium ever!

Fingers crossed for FM5 this is resolved......
Yes you will knight! :-)
All replays from both rooms are on my SF
Cheers lads
Any punishments dished out yet Church? I'm afraid to ask that.
Check your PMs
Only jokeing
I have received NO PM's from anyone.
