Parcells, what do you think about starting the Privateer race a few minutes late (5 maybe 10)...just to allow the factory teams time to pull in the backups if needed.  That way we can hopefully avoid the calls coming in to pull someone up when we are already 25% or more into the race like Race 1.

And on that note, Factory Teams, please try to get your calls out for the Privateer fillins early.  We were almost halfway through our race when I started getting hit w/ messages to join the front lines.  Unfortunately, I wasn't about to throw away a race I was leading 18 laps in....

Excellent point Sherb. There may be a couple people out from room 1 tomorrow so delaying your start is a good idea.  Once, I get Room 1 set up I'll invite you to a private chat and let you know what's up.

I actually wanted the Factory teams to run the liveries provided.  While I understand that the privateers have their own liveries it would be nice not to have a hodge podge of different looking cars in room 1.  But, I guess I'll just have to accept that part of it.

Understood and good idea. Parcells will host tomorrows race and wait a maximum of ten minutes to start the race with the expectation that Snappy will send myself or Helios an XBox message within those ten minutes giving us the go ahead  or reasons for further delays.

That's no problem...remembering to adjust the end race timer remains my biggest concern so please someone remind me.

I changed my livery just to show my Privateer status keeping the sponsors but changing the colour, I would of course revert to the factory livery if called to join a factory team. But as a temporary replacement I would still wish to retain my privateer status livery...But as the Seat team is made of two of the most regular drivers it's probably a mute point anyway.

Parcells was about to suggest the upcoming pregnancy is clouding your reasoning Church but you're probably dead on here...no reason to think the touring cars start at any time other than 5:00 EST.

You must be some sort of freak genius Church...Boy did you ever have us all fooled. wink

Oh yeah, Snappy can you please re-post the game settings (collision setting, laps to pit, anything else I need to know). Correct me if I'm wrong but cautions are only for the most serious of accidents involving 3 or more cars right and no cautions after x amount of laps?

Please also confirm first, second and third finishers from race one have a power reduction of 15, 10 and 5 percent respectively. I've never set up groups before but imagine I can figure it out.

Ok, we need confirmation of the time. I assumed we would such with the US schedule but don't care either way. 17:00 or 18:00 Eastern?

Okay, Start time will be 5:00pm EST.  It just means we all have one less hour to prepare for the races. LOL

Positions 1, 2 and 3 from race 1 are handicapped 15%, 10% and 5% respectively.  The racs is 25 laps but the pits do not open until lap 15 and everyone must pit before the end of lap 26.  No cautions after after lap 4.  The exception being a catastrophic incident involving 3 or more cars and some type of personal injury.

Parcells, If you'd like we can hook up and I can help you set up the lobby which you can save for future use.

Ok I'm curious what would constitute a personal injury? Maybe if yor wife hit you over the head with a heavy object for not talking to her because you are playing a stupid video game.

Give her the open to interpretation "Its not the game that's stupid." response and you can't go wrong. Parcells knows what he's talking about yes

Zed, I cut the number of laps down because of time.  We would be talking over 70 minutes of racing...not including added time for cautions, starting late as we get organized etc.  So, taking into account all of the time zones involved I think it best to shorten the race distance a bit for this one.  I don't know about you guys but it's right at dinner time at my house so i get off the xbox right after the race and sit down at the dinner table.

But, if you guys want we can run 35 laps.

PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT for Privateers:

It was brought to my attention that the privateer lobby requested a ruling in regards to the HP handicap system.  They have asked and I have agreed that their lobby can drop the HP Penalty System for the remainder of the series.  As a group their times are relatively closer than the Room 1 racers so with the HP system things would turn into a round robin race series with guaranted winners and losers every week.

Room 1, "Pro Room", will contiue to employ the HP handicaps.

If anyone has an objection to this change please send me a PM and I will sincerely consider your statements.

Lets all please remember that we can always learn a new wrinkle in planning and executing a series and that at the end of the day the objective is good, clean and competative racing.

Thank you for your interest and participation guys.  It is always appreciated by me.

25 laps is plenty. Can you confirm the pit window again? You last post said between 15 and 26... Hard to do in a 25 lap race, lol. Thanks

Jaysus straight after an intense EUSL Pressure from the off in the STCC. I get a great start and then discover Mr White is right up my exhaust pipe, there he stays lap after lap with Sherb keeping a watching brief just behind him. I was inevitable I was going to get passed as as usual my clutch was slowly getting wrecked, but I made him work for it but once by me he was gone, I think had he been in at the start he would not be a privateer but in a factory team...might make the end result of this series a bit of a forgone conclusion. But I enjoyed the hell out of the six or seven laps dicing with him. I made a right mess of my pitstop allowing  Sherb in front and then it was a solitary half hour of lapping with Sherb holding station about a thousand yard ahead, not gaining not loosing. I look forward to next week, back on a short track I know well.
