Finally got a copy of Gears 3

Finally bought a copy of Gears 3, now that it came down in price to about $20.  Funny thing, just like in Halo 4, I got killed the first time by an object, not a Lambent or Locust.  On the deck of the Sovereign, trying to run to the escape point and got squished by a cargo box.

I'm glad the campaign ended with a rousing victory for the humans of Sera, but naturally a few plot points were fleshed out in the novels instead of the gameplay. (Mirrah's human appearance, for example, was never explained, nor how she made the deal with Adam Fenix to deal with the Lambent)

Good game all the way through, although I wish the Hammerburst wasn't pushed at me EVERY time I wrecked a group of enemies.  The One Shot for me proved to be useless, as it never really killed anything I tried to shoot at through cover.
