Cool.  New Maps are fun.  Will be interesting to see if they stay free, they can't be making as much $ from the packs anymore

The only way I would even consider giving Bioware more money for a MP DLC is if they actually GIVE you the add-on weapons and characters instead of making them random unlocks in a Spectre pack. You see, when most companies come out with DLC for a multiplayer game, they generally let you use the extra content. Not so with Bioware.

Agreed, but I think this is more an EA thing - it's the same concept as the "ultimate team" stuff they've done in the sports games(buy packs of random players/coaches/boosts/etc with in-game coins or MS points) and it's clearly making them money - enough to let BW at least pump out the maps for free.

Much more frustrating with a game like this, though.  You're not missing out on "new" stuff in a sports game pack, you're just getting random players of a certain quality

Yeah they did the same thing with Madden and the player cards a few years back. That irked me to no end.

It's really a damn shame, because I think they did a great job with the MP except for the random packs.
