Doctrine of Passing

That gun seems to be killing me more and more in the crucible.... It's a Lighthouse gun, so I doubt I'll get it.

So, I started looking for alternatives....

Having been to lighthouse I can tell you it's still not easy to get. Nechro is a pretty nice alternative however and it's my go to when using auto rifles at this point.

I use Arminius D for everything including IB and Crucible. It works well for me and my results show it.

If I get good results in PvP, then the weapon I use must be good to compensate for my shitiness. One feature I really like is how I can stay full auto on target on jumping guardians. Even when they jump right over me.

I have this strange feeling, something is unusually good with this AR. I hope Bungie doesn't nerf it like the Herja D PR.

Or I'm completely deluded.

Update: Maybe I'm correct. Bnet says the mag is 48 but mine is 72 reduced to 60 with Braced Frame. It also has Persistence. For fucks sake don't tell anyone. Oops, too late.

Doctrine of Passing is pretty sweet, especially if you have one with counterbalance.  I believe next week it will be the featured Lighthouse weapon.  You can still have a shot at one dropping if you can get a Trials group and hit 7 wins.  And another shot doing the gold tier reward bounty (10 matches and 75 kills) which isn't too hard to complete.

When I've run Trials, it usually takes 7 Trials passages to get to 7 wins - since you can get a win by buying one of the boons. sad

7 wins on a single passage is a faraway fantasy for many of us. Just have to hope for good luck from the gold package.

The Necrochasm is pretty effective, but only at fairly short range - and you need to quickly pulse the trigger to keep shots on target. In a series of crucible games yesterday I wound up going back to Red Death. It has more range, and having both "High Caliber Rounds" and "Unflinching" selected means you can keep Doctrine users flustered (less able to hit you) as long as you're getting hits.

Speaking of which, if you're using the Red Death, know that HCR and Unflinching are what make the gun work. Took me a long time to figure that out. Used to hate the RD, now I love it - even after the latest pulse rifle nerf.
