What year were you born? Obvious Question for an older gamer site right?
Launches Dec 5. Looks like I'll make it to the lighthouse after all. How about that.
I didn't buy the expansion pass, so I'm curious to know about what kind of "quality of life" improvements they will come up with for this content.
I'm sure I'll drink the Kool-Aid and buy it, but inquiring minds would like to know.
I'll be getting it. It's nice (pricey) to buy it piecemeal and I feel less anchored. If Expansion 2 is late spring, I might be moving on to something else.
Not enjoying the raid much. If not for good friends, I'd be out. If we ever beat it, my ass will be the last thing this raid will see of me.
I feel like Bungie wanted D2 to be a game that the average gamer could get through more of and not feel too punished for not being hardcore. The down side is that there is less motivation to struggle through the hardcore content, like the raid. My guess for the "new raid content" will be harder raid difficulties plus the return of gear with raid-specific perks to make playing the raid more compelling without being too alienating to casuals.
By the by, I will admit to really liking the raid graphically as well as mechanically. There's lots of variety, and every team member feels valuable most of the time. I could do without the frivolous tone, however. I find the whole idea of a wealthy battle hippo sponsoring party games for guardians pretty uncompelling.
