Yes it is!!!

What do you guys think of turning off the flags?  reason being mainly is the blue flags and being mainly all short tracks chances are good there might be lapping which could make a bad situation worse having to yeild to all lappers and fall back any further than they are.  Other thing do you guys want 2 30 min races or 2 24 laps?

Let me know by wed or it will stay the way it is :)

Heres round 1 from Brands Hatch this year awesome racing it will also give you some ideas on lines to shave a few 10ths!

How do they compare in feel to the ORSM V8Factor Unleashed mod on rF1?  That's been the best V8 mod i've sampled to date (and what we run @ GBR).

I have nothing to compare them too but I think they run really well in race 07.  I don't remember if I have the 2011's or not but i have to agree, they sound amazing!  I wouldn't mind running these either.

not have running the rf1 much or spending any time tuning them compared to the fvr mod....IMOA graphics seem a tad better, sound I would say is equal, the cars out of the box I would say is a bit less torquey on the throttle but can still be a handfull at times.....if anyone is to be a judge it would have to be you helios! I posted a new thread called support series, in there is a Google drive folder with the v8 and tracks.....for some Wierd reason in the 2011 v8 and nz touring mod for rf1 & race 07 they have these strange lines going across the windows that really annoy the shit out of me in cockpit view.....the rest are fine....I would use the nz touring mod if it wasn't for that.....I wanna try run series that aren't currently being run by sister clubs :)

If they are in an X-pattern...it's the roll cage.  wink

I've run an older version of FVR.....and didn't really care for it.  They felt "funny" to me.

I'll try to download it this weekend and check it out.  I'm still not opposed to the F355 Challenge...that looks tempting.

No roll cage i can tell the difference of thatsmiley  its like it has defrost panels on the front windshield of the 2011 models?

As for flags iam just gonna keep it to black only if i turn them off guys can speed in pit lane and you wont get any notifications of acciedents with out yellow flags....iam also gonna keep tire and fuel at normal for this series.smiley

Black flags are on! When I get home today iam gonna test out another option I found within the dedicated servers options, and if it allows me to many apply between rounds without having to reset the server could make the series even closer !!!! I found an option that allows u to add ballast :) so hopefully it works the way i want it to In btcc the top 5 guys have ballast add for the next race, and it carries over to the next race including practice and qualifying. Since were a small group ballast will only be added to the top 50% guys or top 5 if we have more than 10......this all will only be applied if it works properly :)

Ballast is succesfull 44

1st = 45kg

2nd = 35kg

3rd = 25kg

4th = 15 kg

5th = 5kg

Round 1 everyone will start with no ballast, Round 1s results will determine which top 5 drivers will have ballast added to there car for round 2

the results from round 2 will carry over to round 3, ballast will be added to the drivers car for practice, qualifying and race 3 this pattern will continue through out the remainder of the season smiley

Maybe we could have a reverse grid for the race after?

Or we pull a ball out of a fish bowl?

I thought the races went very well.  Even though I DNF either race I still had a good time.  I am still learning and I think driving with a group of guys that are better than me I will learn what to do for future races. This is exactly what I have been looking for.  Thank you all for putting this together.

Glad you had fun, dont be afraid to ask for help mate, I would be happy to run some laps with you and cast an eye over your lines and in and out points to see if I can give you any hints, I may not be the fastest but I do okay in Touring Cars smiley

Once I get my wheel situation worked out I will run some laps at  Donnington and post for some pointers.  I have never run that track but the few laps I have put in, I am enjoying it so far, except that last damn chicane!  If the next race isnt until nov 10th i should have plenty of time to get some laps in.

My goal now is just to finish the race.  smiley

A big thank you for putting this together.  For the first race day I think it went really way with 6 humans pitting their skill against the AI opponents who seemed to have a mind of their own and brake in weird places and were a challenge to overtake.  I finished 4th in race one (which for me was outstanding) and was rear shunted at turn 2 in race two with to much damage to continue.

A few of us stayed in chat after the races and had a good laugh talking about other sims and discussing the good and bad points about old and upcoming sims and yes we did talk about Forza.  Also a few good points was bought up about how to improve the league and from my side the two things I would like to see is mandatory pit stops introduced with a minunmum 2 tyre change and also a way to identify human and AI drivers with either lights on or a prefix in frount of their names (my preference being a prefix because lights on could get confusing in braking zones).

Like I have already mentioned for the first race day it was a great success and I got a feeling that it can only get better.
