Celebrate the Luck of the Zafords in Borderlands 2 this weekend with special in-game events and gear!
Each year, around this time, the Zaford clan take a break from their war with the Hodunk bandit family to celebrate their good fortune and honor those that have passed on, such as that time Scooter buried their son alive in a shallow grave.
During this time, those who play Borderlands 2 while connected to the internet will see a temporary increase in the drop rates and rarity of shields! Plus, Absorb shields will have a better chance to absorb enemy bullets and Booster shields will have a higher chance of dropping a shield Booster when damaged.
In addition, the Zafords have prepared special gifts! To receive your celebratory Zaford gear, including special green skins for each character and a Chulainn SMG that will be the the same level as (and appear in the backpack of) the first character you load, enter the SHiFT codes below into Borderlands 2:

Increased drop rate/rarity is a nice touch. Wish they’d do that sort of thing more often.

The SMG is cool. I learned to like being slagged.
Anyone figure out if YOU take extra damage using that thing? Does it perma slag you if you're holding it or just when you first whip it out?
On a side note, it looks like this patch 'fixed' the smasher glitch :( Although i might have been doing it wrong it's been a while. But i did get my infinity pistol up to a 499 mag size (previous the highest i got it was 140 with the smasher glitch) and it didn't do extra damage or shoot insanely fast. Since i got the clip size increase but none of the other extras, going by that I concluded the smasher glitch is patched. Booo.
I used it yesterday with the smasher and it worked fine. I had only had patience to get it up to 96 but that was plenty anyway.
hmmmm.... guess I did it wrong then.I'll try again next time there's something interesting to do in borderlands. Since we're not ever going to get a level cap increase it seems, i should go thru the DLC missions i've been saving the XP from and clean up my chevos.
You do take more damage with the weapon, but it is deadly with both slag and shock. I picked it up at level 43. It is helping me slug through this part of the game.
