yes, I ran it through 4 or 5 season races to get a feel for it. Afterwards I went back and looked through the spec sheet. I'm guessing it's the sport tires I'm feeling. Woohoo...

But it ws fun racing against a Supra in the Toyota Challenge. It runs out of leg on some of the longer straights, Motegi, Suzuka, Atlanta. But it's fun to drive, the tires keep you honest in the turns.

After watching this I can't find anyone at fault just a pure racing incident. I went wide Church took the inside and we met at the exit. I posted it just to show Oldschool that I did not hit the wall first.

I saw someone leave the track and cause an incident re-entering?

Of course I'm not as close to the situation as you are.

If Tourni was officiating, you'd be in trouble...

Maybe just to cause shit but Parcells disagrees with OldSchool who is also trying to stir things up 55. Fitzy was not “reentering the track” in a traditional manner where you are typically near a standstill where you should make sure no traffic is coming as was the case here. Fitzy just went wide, maintained decent speed and navigated back to the track…how the hell can Church not see this and he should try to avoid hitting Fitzy?

I think I may have just stuck up for Fitzy so Parcells err. Of course I could argue it’s Fitzy’s fault too no problem there.

Seems like a “rookie” racing incident from two rookies if you ask Parcells!

I'd blame the Sport Tires for the lack of anticipated response Parcells and probably for Fitzy's vacating the track but he seemed to not be pressured when he entered the turn...(passing the shit stick back to you...)

Church...Tried your tune...Love the Gearing but still unable to tame the corners (Back End Kicks Out)..Was wondering off the top of my head how much different than Kraiggers tune for handling...I can see why you guys tweak (Wish I had the Knowledge)..For me it would be your gearing but Kraiggers handling or  maybe my wishful thinking because more likely than not  it is most likely my incompetent driving skills...Still trying to master your tune though..Maybe a little more time!!..Sincere Thanks..laughlaughlaugh

Soften up the rear anti-roll bars a little. If she still kicks soften the rear spring a bit. I will have another look at her tonight. Will watch the replay when I get home ;)

Soz chaps, won't be able to make it tonight due to work. Or as someone poncy might say: there's a disconnect between my employer and me concerning the perception of work-life balance :). Hopefully will make it for track night tomorrow :)

Hello,

hey, that is AWESOME! To race against you with handicap is a whole new experience. I could watch the line kraiger took. That is learning by doing. Even now in practice, this is sooo much fun. Can't wait for the race!!!!

Thanks for the racing tonight, especially Fitzy! Sorry about the tap on turn 1 Fitzy, I went for a move up the inside and you closed the door! I'm hoping it was just a racing incident, but I don't have the replay, so my sincere apologies! I think I need to start working on my own setups though, as without the handicaps I'd be at the back of the field. Looking forward to next week, should make track night tomorrow as well (if only to be a mobile chicane!) Mapo.

Good racing guys!

Its epic Jdan!

Once that balance is found the racing is so intense. Spending 29 laps constantly 250ft behind kraigger was seriously nerve racking!!

Its a shame that kraigger missed the apex of Turn one on lap 30 (Out of 31) for me to take the win. (I really did feel bad!)

Also the time from first to 3rd over the finish line was something like 0.250!!!

AWESOME!!

Excruciating Fun last night!!!...After running Armor (Veteran handicap-Me-Amateur handicap) in my last race (States-Canada) neck and neck for the win the powers to be (Fitzy and Kraigger) decided to push me up from Amateur to Veteran (WHATTTTTT???). After seeing the pre-race times I thought "Maybe  just Maybe" I have a chance to compete. Little did I know that these times were sandbag times. As soon as the race started the Veterans (Church-Fitzy-Kraigger) were off to the races and Po Wheels was in last place. Thanks Fitzy and Kraigger. About the 15th lap my wife walked in from work...Stood in front of the TV...Shook her head...Proceeded to walk into the kitchen..Tripped over my power cord...Pulled it out of the wall..Machine went off..I looked at her with my hands up in the air and she said "I just wanted to put you out of your misery running in last place". Seems like Fitzy and Kraigger bamboozled me to last place and Veteran Category. Thanks Fitzy and Kraigger again!!!  After last week I thought Kraigger was going to move me up a notch but here I went from Amateur to Veteran in one week. What surprised me the most were the sandbagged times at the beginning. After the the real race started Fitzy-Kraigger-Church were beating their pre-race times by at least 2 seconds a lap...Seen the replay!..But ALL IS GOOD!...With the new Handicap System I can see I will have last place wrapped up so I am going to write it in from now on!!!laughlaughlaugh

P.S. Church...Outstanding My Man!!!...It was a Honor to be listed in your category for ONE Night!...Of course the results were you finished first and me last...Did anybody think it would end any other way???laughcoollaugh

P.S.S. Church..Watched the replay..Your best time with Veteran Handicap was better than my best time in Amateur (No Handiap)!...Yet Fitzy said to me you run Veteran Handicap!!!...Wanker Fitzy!!!laughlaughlaugh

P.S.S. S.S. Parcells...How could I ever doubted you!!...My Apology!!!

Yeah my pre-race lap times where all over as I was making tea. But I though it wouldn't matter as I was in the highest band sad

Maybe we could have more levels of handicaps?

I am sorry Wheels as I was going by times. Each racer runs different on each track. Again I am sorry!

Regarding sandbagging I was going all out all the time and was getting faster every lap that is why I put myself in Vetern (first time I have been in that group).

Now with more level of handicapping it is hard as there can only be 4 groups. Right now we are at Amateur - Stock, Pro-Amateur - 10% reduction, Pro - 15% reduction, Veteran - 20% reduction.

My only thought is go to a wider gap in the groups. For example Amateur - Stock, Pro-Amateur - 10% reduction, Pro - 20% reduction, and Veteran - 30% reduction.

Thoughts?

In hindsight you should have had the Pro handicap, I think the problem was that you had done a lot of practice on the track and you had reached your best time, so when we did the qualifying laps you were quicker than me and Church as  we had done very little practice. Iberian short would not be a track we would run very often so as we got more used to the track we got quicker the longer the race went on.

As regards the handicaps I think they are just fine the way they are now, there will always be the chance someone will end up in the wrong group but overall they seem to work very well.

Sorry Wheels if it took the fun out of the race for you this was definitely not our intention. Anyway you can get us back by winning next week.

Fitzy..I am Done..When I seen I had to beat on you a little to move you up from Pro  to Veteran in the last seconds I knew I was in trouble. My wife is shrewd...When she seen me getting my ass handed to me she said.."About where I want the Christmas tree this year I want to revisit the conversation...Being at a low point I said where?...She said exactly where you have your Fanatec Wheels (2). I said no problem seeings how my ass is done with the move to Veteran. So the bottom line is I won't be seeing any of you until after the Holidays. Good Luck!!laughlaughlaugh

P.S. Fitzy..You have hit the nail on the head to the problems with handicaps. It will NEVER change! Sandbagging (I know I have been accused of it) will ALWAYS be a issue no matter what the excuse!!

Wheels, I agree with you on the point that there is no way you should have jumped from Amatuer to Veteran. You and I had a great race last time out (one of the best races I had in a long time) with that said, there is no way you could run with Church as I think Church and I are fairly close. As for sandbagging, if it is done, shame on the ones doing it. I know I run as hard as I can in practice and in a race (trying to lose is not in my blood). Now!! this is a game and should be played because it is fun and we enjoy the competition, lets keep if fun and fair. Handicaps will never be perfect but I think they are fairly close for this series, if handed out properly!!

P.S. - As much as I enjoy a win (and I do!!) I never want it to be a run away. There is no fun in that for anyone. Just my 2 cents

Stick with the series Wheels, I think they will promise to not throw you into Veteran again.

This point nails it, fun and fair.  A Win is a bonus but the racing is the treat. :)

Take the race between Antz, fitzy and Helios in the british procar, it was enjoyed by the spectators and the competitiors alike :)
