what's everyone's thoughts on this league.

i went to my first AFL game yesterday. overall it was pretty boring. there were a few exciting moments, but certainly not what i was expecting.

on the way home, i thought about the game. looking back, maybe i shouldn't be so quick to judge.

the game i watched was Pittsburgh and Kansas City. Pittsburgh was 2-8 going into the game and KC was 0-8. KC won by 6 points or so (don't really remember the final score).

if two good teams played, maybe it would be as exciting as they bill it to be.

anyone?

AFL has been around my town (Orlando Predators) for quite some time. Most of the fun of the games was what was going on in the stands. The upper bowl was truly the place to be as it was a drunk fest and everyone had a good time.

The game itself is different, but not by much. It's a lot faster pace, and passing accuracy and release are crucial. I haven't followed the game in a bit, but a couple of friends and I try to make a game once a season. We also used to have some inside connections at the games. My buddy knew Jay Gruden and although we never got tix, we'd always go down to say hi when he coached the preds. Another buddy of mine had a girlfriend who was a cheerleader back in the day, so we definitely hit her up for tix cause we were broke kids back then.
