Anyone been in the arenas yet?
I think I played the Gamestop arena last night (the one in the wildlife preserve). One cool feature is if someone dies, they get to go up to the observation window and they can shoot from up here. I'm thinking that would be a great strategy if someone had a slag sniper rifle, they could slag all the tough guys. Or even better if you have a Siren in the window who can cast the revive spell and have a slag rifle, that would be tits!
I just happened to be dead the last round before the final endboss erupted from the ground. What I saw from my window was hilarious. The end boss isn't fair, all I can say is if you're in this arena and get to the final boss, spread out and have one guy at each wall. One of you will most likely be downed immediatly but that'll leave theothers to keep on fighting. Also fire resist is a must, both tips are assuming the end boss is the same each time.
The loot wasn't that great, in fact i'll say the loot sucked, even the money wasn't great. But we did get quite a bit of E and I blew thru level 25 way faster than doing missions and regular stuff.
Last night playing on the creature area was fun, tough but fun.
I did the Bandit Slaughter house solo, all 5 rounds. That was pretty easy. The simple process was to pop the Goliath's helmet off and let him go rage. Then we will attack the other enemies on the map. Let him work on them, then when he is all that left you work on him. As a siren i would buble hime then run, and repeat. Plus he will be all leveled up so they drop good shit.
Do you need the Gamestop preorder for this or is it all further into the story?
I assume if you didn't pre-order at game stop and have this DLC, you wouldn't even know this arena was there. But if you're guesting in someone elses game who does have the DLC, you can play it in their game.
Either way, it's in the wildlife preserve map, the story takes you there i would guess about half way thru the game. But the story doesn't take you to the arena, it's not even a side quest, it's just something you can do if you have it.
If you have the DLC and host the game, everyone in the room can do it. And screw Tank, the loot from it is AWESOME. I did it at level 23 and got a rocket launcher that did 17,545 damage. I didn''t find a better one til level 30.
THe arenas are all pretty easy, except for the one with an entire wave of jet loaders. But only the DLC one has a reward worth getting.
That' sthe reward for finishing the arena I think which we never did. The Thresher burned us all to death. Maybe it's easier doing it solo, we had 4.
The Arenas are awesome. Need to do the wildlife preserve ASAP. Already knocked the bandit one off.
Did the first level of Fink solo on Monday. Will be on tonight and can do with others, just pop on in.
If I am on I am in there. It is likely that we are playing football tonight though.
