Here I am in the mid-twenties level wise, and it occurred to me that I haven't seen an ammo regen weapon/class mod/anything just yet. I've got a terrific rocket launcher, but the ammo supply is always so small.
Yeah, Vladoff rocket launchers all use reduced ammo for it's launchers. The only item I know of that regens rocket ammo, is the Seraph Big Boom Shield you get from Pete the Invincible. It's a booster shield, when you take damage little boosters fall that refill your shield, however the Big Boom also refills your grenades and rockets as well.

Lol, My finacee' and I went up against Voracidious the other night, she was in her low 40's and I was a 52 Assassin. We killed it pretty quickly. Then was doing some research she found a rocket launcher "BADABOOM" that she wants. I showed her the one I had when we killed Vora, she got a bit jealous...
The best way to restock rocket ammo is with the Sham Shield and a Logan gun. But both are rare legendary's. I started to run the Sham / Logan on my 61 Commando. With the duel / duel turrents firing and a rocket launcher - it is a lethal combo. Stil barely dents raid bosses.
Yeah, I have few Badaboom's actually I think I have a level 45, it's too low for you, but it might work for your wife if you want it. Send me a message here, or my gamertage if you play on 360. If you choose to farm it, I completely understand as I like to farm my stuff as well. King Mong is a pretty easily farmable guy. What I like to do is load up Eridium Blights, hop in a car and drive to the first foor on the right with that turret. If he spawns there, he'll spawn just past the doors, up on a hill to the right. If he's not there I just quit and reload, since it's sometimes quicker than leaving an area and returning.
You guys can actually also use the Boom Puppy gun with the Sham as well, from the Torgue DLC to do this as well. This will cut down on your farming a lot, as you'll only need 1 legendary, instead of 2. It's a quest reward from Tiny Tina for walking her dog Enrique or whatever.
There are class mods for the Gunzerker which regen ammo, but not rocket ammo. Wearing an absorb shield may net you some free rockets.
Look out for a Topneaa (http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Topneaa), it consumes reduced rocket ammo per shot. E-tech rocket launchers are awesome.

No problem, I kept trying to figure what the hell that shield was doing, and why a booster shield was called Big Boom. That's why lol
