I can't wait until Tuesday.

I don't understand why "loot sharing" is a negative though.  Makes sense to me and it is just like the first game.  If everybody got the same stuff there would be no trading or bargaining.

I think what the reviewer is suggesting is what they do in Diablo 3 is have everyone see their own unique loot drops. So, if we've beaten the boss, and you see him drop an orange sniper rifle, you can take it, because I only see a purple shotgun. For me, and probably most of us here, it's not an issue, as we're all adults and are capable of being fair on our own with the people we're likely to play with.

He's probably playing in a less friendly pool of co-op players, and has probably gotten the loot shaft once too often.

Ya i would have preferred the loot was generated independantly for each peson playing, that's the one thing Diablo 3 got right in my opinion.  How many times in Borderlands 1 did your pals bolt past enemies you're getting your ass kicked by just to open a chest and have first dibs on the loot within?  I was hoping this was going to be improved in borderlands 2.

I think I read somewhere that they will have a challenge system where if 2 players want the same thing they can duel over it. That could be fun but it also has the potential to be abused.

Ovaerall I am on the fence about it too. Having separate loot systems would avoid a friction point between players which would be nice. The shared system is more realistic and encourages diplomacy between characters.

When I played it heavily wih others a while back we went into it with the understanding that character specific weapons were given priority to that character (Sniper=Mordecai, SMG=Lilith etc). That person would also kick down the weapon they were done using if another player wanted it (vs selling it off). That made the group stronger overall. If 2 players were after the same thing, Assault Rifle for example, we would alternate whenever a good one would come along. Although when something really good came along we would dupe it, not sure that will be an option in BL2.

You need to call someone out if they were opening chests while in the heat of a battle though!

I would like to think that adults can work it out. ;-)

I'll admit this isn't a big deal for me, mainly because I'll play this with clan guys and we share nicely.  I can see people playing with randoms or some greedy 2o2pers having issues, though.  I guess it's more up to you as the player to moderate who you play the game with rather than expect the game to take care of it for you :-)

No issue for me either.  This game has brought out more diplomatic, gentlemenly and kind sharing of any thus far from those I have run with.  Weird!!

Its really weird that one guy could potentially get all the guns. RP is all about saying stuff like "We decided to take out fall damage because its not fun, We added badassness cause its fun. In the end we go whats fun and whats not and always go with whats fun"

Ummmm.... randy pitchford listen for a sec; that dude stealling the gun that would really go great with my gunzerker and lame with his assasin, is not fun. Not fun at all.

I don't think the looting system will be an issue for us. It may suck if you play with randoms.

I had zero issues with the loot bins. It was actually kind of fun telling everyone what was in there and dividing the spoils

What about the money, does that get seperated between the group?? Is it just weapons, etc. that its first come, first serve? Just wondering.

Sounds like it works just like it did in Blands 1. Money is shared automatically when picked up by whomever and loot is first come first serve, but lets face it..as most of us play with buddies that shouldn't be an issue

Personalized loot would be nice, then there would be more of it to share! But as it is, this is a game I only play with friends and we all try to play a different class so it's not that big a deal.

Pretty sure ammo is shared like the money, so, when 1 person picks up 12 rounds of sniper ammo, everyone gets 12 rounds. This might not be true for Eridium, though.

Ammo didn't share in the first one, did it? I think it was only the money that shared. And I think that's all they're doing this time too.

If you had a soldier class with the right mods he would/could regen ammo for the party so you didnt have to worry about picking it up
