6th Character Psycho Krieg, a few Character and Skill Tree Details

Krieg is a Psycho and will be available for $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points) in May.

Krieg is based on the Psycho enemies seen in the game he'll be a melee based character who wields an Axe, and rewards players for high-risk behavior such as running into crowds. His action skill is Blood Axe Rampage, which allows him to regain health while attacking an enemy. His Skill Trees include Bloodlust, Mania and Hellborn.

The Bloodlust tree is about constantly dealing damage, such as increased bonuses for killing enemies with explosions or grenades and an increased chance to find grenade ammo following a kill using that method.

The Mania tree rewards the player for taking damage, such as decreased action skill cooldown while being hurt. Krieg will also be able to receive damage from teammates.

Finally, the Hellborn tree focuses on elemental damage, with one skill offering increased damage while you’re on fire (and a chance of being ignited yourself every time you light up an enemy).

Krieg is not included in the Borderlands 2 Season Pass.

Nice, was wondering if ppl were going to post some footage eventually, thanks! To be honest I find this character boring, and I doubt I'll be getting it. A Psycho feels very lazy to pay $10 for plus, I like my characters to actually have a power. Maya has her Orb, Axton his turret, and Gaige her robot, no one plays the other 2 for a reason. Zero's melee build sucks, and so does his broken Critical Ascension. Sal well, I want to like him, but I want something to break up the constant shooting, not pulling up an extra gun.

Also, their level cap is a huge cop out, in their article they said they were going to add enough levels to last for a very long time, not freaking 11. Also, Randy actually said last week this wasn't going to be a melee based character, and it is. I find this guy's lying to be getting horrible.

I don't mind paying for anything extra, but jeesh it needs to be worth it, $5 for a level cap increase? Gearbox is getting cheap.

I think BL1 only went to 65 didn't it?  But ya I agree that doens't seem likea whole lot of new levels to obtain, but it's better than letting all that xp go to waste doing as many extra missions as there are beyond level 50.  But i know for a fact hackers have characters up into the 100's and they work fine.  So either they decided to only take the game as far as BL1 OR they're going to release a paid version of level expansion to go beyond 65.

The new character doesn't interest me at all.  Not because he's melee or a psycho, i'm just not interested in leveling another character.  To me that doesn't really bring anything new to the game, I still have to play thru all the missions i've already done 6 or more times already.  I want new content, not new characters.

I hope the Pearl weapons are truly epic and not like the dumbass pink gear they added that pretty much all blow chunks.

Borderlands 1 got an initial 11 around the 3rd dlc, and then an 8 level increase around the 4th dlc, bringing it up to 69. I used to think it was b/c he was wanting to keep ppl from getting too overpowered like they did in borderlands 1. I couldn't imagine a Axton with dual turrets, w/dual slag guns as well, but it seems they don't mind they just want money out of it. I hate how everyone's saying this 4th dlc in June is going to be amazing, based off of a 30 second scene, that showed nothing about the dlc what so ever. Oh well, i'll reserve my opinions for when I see a lot more.
