1hr Borderlands 2 gameplay with Randy Pitchford
Randy shows us some Borderlands 2
http://au.gamespot.com/shows/now-playing/index.html?event=borderlands_2_...
And now again with IGN; http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/04/ign-live-presents-borderlands-2
Maybe a little more than an hour? Shows off a mission for Tiny Tina, using Lillith, then some other random questing. Also shows that there's no fall damage.
I'll add too that one of the fun parts about both of these walkthroughs is how excited Pitchford seems about his game.
I watched that live stream @ IGN, was a good show. Seems like tougher enemies spawn in higher quantities. The guy playing died a lot!
I was impressed and excited by the uniqueness of the enemies, the different challenges they offer. The varkid things that coccoon and emerge badass, and the wormhole trenchers that pull you into them. Also, the Tiny Tina mission that requires you to lure the bad guy into her trap instead of flat out killing him. Thos are all very unique things, not only to Borderlands, but all shooters.
I kept tweeting them a question to talk about end game content , i was curious what incentives there are to keep on playing after the story. But never got it answered.
I was also impressed the the 'Badass' points and how they explained it. Each character you play has their own individual skill trees and Xp and what not. But your BadAss points for completing challenges and things is profile level so if you use your badass points to increase your reload speeds by 1%, it carries across all your characters (or you can turn it off if you want a pure from scratch build of a new charactr). I thought that was wel.... badass. And there's no rank cap either, I think randy said he expects to see dedicated people with 10,000 badass rank or more .
I also liked the shared stash. SO if you find something for one of your other characters, you can do dump it in the shared stash.
end game content mentioned in the walkthrough jikado posted. nothing substantial, but RP stated that not only is iridium used to upgrade equipment but will also unluck secret areas on the map for "End game Stuff" 37minutes into it
