Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, but you can now run the Black Spindle mission anytime, just select the Lost to Light mission from the director.

How ironic. Bungie opened up the Black Spindle mission to anytime with Lost To Light run on hard difficulty (Heroic) and today's daily heroic mission is Lost To Light.
They opened them up and broke them at the same time. You won't receive legendary marks for the daily heroic version of these 2 immediately. They have added them to the list of those missions that go to the Postmaster later when you complete. Last update says they are working on it, but then they haven't fixed the others that do that.
