King's Fall Raid, Fri, May 20
Sign up here for the King's Fall raid on Friday, May 20 at 9pm Eastern/ 6pm Pacific. No raid experience necessary, but you should be at least 300 light and have a decent, high-impact sniper, like the 1000 Yard Snare for sale at the Vanguard vendor. We usually run for about three hours more or less. If you need to change plans, we understand, but post here again as soon as possible so we can find a replacement. If there are already five participants, please consider signing up as an alternate. Stuff happens, even at the last minute.

Sign me up? If it fills up, you can bump me.
No way! We need peoples. No bumping. Welcome to the roster!
I will play.
Welcome, Osiris! What is your gamertag?
Osiris66 is my gamertag.
Still one slot open for this Friday's raid!
So far, the roster for this week is: OldnAchy, DEEP_NNN, doorgunnerjgs, Osiris, and myself.
I'm in for tomorrow evening. Assuming my deaf crew isn't on around same time.
We should go rock hard.
I shouldn't speak for doorgunner but I don't think hard mode is practical for him right now.
May be true, Deep. And here I signed up 'cause you suggested it!!!! lol I'm only at 313 light. Let me know if someone else would be better suited and I'll drop out. np
This group helped me get my raid quests done on normal. I hope we can do that for you too. :)
Has anyone here completed the raid on hard mode? How difficult is it? I've heard that this is the most complicated raid so far. I need a 335 artifact so it would be nice to complete a hard mode run but I don't have a lot of confidence in my skills.
You did a great job on hard mode raid last night! You caught up pretty good in the Left-Center-Right Room stage (I don't know what to call this room before the Warpriest stage) with the deaf raid crew.
I know you need more practice with the jump ships puzzle stage. It is easy to do it in normal mode and follow the experienced players. Once you get the hang of it all the way to the end, you'll get better at it. It is recommended that you use the Agility perk in the Midas-Multi Tool Scout rifle for that jump ships puzzle, giving you higher lifting.
My deaf raid crew wanted to go against Warpriest hard mode tonight, if the sixth deaf player would show up (he was supposed to join us last night but didn't, that's how I got you in with my crew). If it is on tonight, you could take my place with Krak's team for normal mode raid tonight.
You need a pretty experienced crew to do hard mode. Opening the door to the Warpriest would probably be where one could get a 335 artifact on hard, but with less than experienced players that is very difficult to do. An alternative to doing HM raid to get that artifact is to do the level 3 Court as the rune submitter. Sometimes it will drop even using a stolen (level 2) rune, but regardless you need to be the one using the rune.
...and you need to have your light level already sufficiently high for the 335 stuff to drop. For example if your max LL is 328, the best you can hope for is probably 333.
As Achy said, the Court is a good alternative. But if you want to do KF hard mode, the Golgoroth challenge (up next week) is probably the least difficult of the three. That said, it ain't easy. Someone reported in another post that 335 artifacts can drop in the normal raid challenge modes, but I've yet to see this confirmed.
I'm thinking that we should probably try to do the Warpriest challenge on normal today, and see what sort of drops we get. We do run hard mode sometimes, but we need an experienced crew for that. A single death in hard mode is enough to wipe the team much of the time.
I plan to be on tonight, so I guess put me down as an alt.
I still need the Warpriest challenge to finally get all 50 fragments.
Anyway, I'll be available if needed.
Osiris did pretty good with my deaf raid crew last night (went hard mode). See my reply to Osiris' post in this thread.
Agree on the WarPriest challenge. Osiris is already signed up to play so if Cheez decides to go with the deaf team then there will definitely be a spot open from what I can see. Sooner we know the better.
OldnAchy, DEEP_NNN, doorgunnerjgs, Osiris, Darth Tabasco and myself ran the normal mode raid tonight. A lot of the raid was new to a couple of us, but we had a great run, completing the Warpriest challenge and ending by killing the Sisters. I can now confirm that the challenge does drop one piece of gear up to 335 even in normal mode. That's nice, because it gives even high light people a reason to run the normal raid with their friends.
Congrats guys!
Good to know about the 335 level drops in normal challenge mode.
Another good night. :)
Thanks to everyone that helped me with the raid tonight. I got my 335 artifact doing the warpriest challenge so now I don't have to grind the court of oryx.
Had a great time last night, thanks for including me (and putting up with my horrendous jumping non-skills)!
Glad you were able to join us and I'm glad you had fun. I find the jumping can be very frustrating sometimes - I might get through no problem on one run and then totally mess up everything the next time.
You guys did fine - especially for it being your first time doing some of the encounters. I hope you will join us again.
