Warpriest Challenge
If you're running the raid this week, then you will be participating in the Warpriest Challenge! As far as Reddit has been able to figure it out, the challenge is "simply" to make sure that no single individual holds the aura (red buff that allows you to damage the Warpriest) more than once during the fight. If you manage that, the rewards are a 310 artifact in normal mode and a 320 artifact in hard mode. People are also seeing 310/320 weapons drop as well, but I'm not clear on whether the weapon drop is guaranteed or not.
Well, so long as people don't die and the aura passes randomly, this should be a reasonable challenge.
If we can down the WarPriest in three passes and have the most experienced players on the plates (and not die with the Aura) then this is doable.
Holding the Warpriest Aura of the Initiate is simple if you just equip your best machine gun, focus on keeping the buff going, and refuse to get distracted. Of course, you just want to kill one add at a time and as late in the countdown as you dare. Simple. You'll still get unlucky occasionally when all the adds decide to hide those last couple seconds. But that's not your fault.
Warpriest killed in 46 seconds.

Sheesh. I just got Touch of Malice recently. Why is his health jumping back up? With over-shield yet? Looks very cool. And OP!
I don't think that was the Touch of Mercy perk, it requires 3 rapid kills and he was just shooting the Warpriest. I am pretty sure he was standing on the edge of the Blessings bubble and dipping in & out to get health back, that's why you're seeing the overshield.
Just learned how to do this on Oryx in HM to damage Ogres.
Yep, he's dipping in and out of the bubble. I see it now, but I've never seen anyone do it so quickly. Seems like he doesn't lose a single shot. Replicating this is my new ambition. :)
How the hell did they get to shoot him for so long?
I don't think there's any trick to it. Just good work by the aura holder, i.e. letting the timer run down low before killing each add without ever messing up!
Trap the priest with a Hunter's Shadowshot. That allows for more damage done and easier/safer shooting. A little luck makes it easy. Bad RNG can make it hard (i.e. giving me the aura for the first time ever :() ).
We did it once. I got 4 guns when moving past the Priest all the way to the Oryx checkpoint. A 310 machine gun, a 320 Harrowed machine gun, a 305 shotgun and a 313 Harrowed sniper. Also got a 320 artifact, a 304 pair of boots and 310 gloves.
I used a 310 Red Death for my primary (and the raid sniper and machine gun). I've got a ToM... Have to try it again.
I wonder if the update today will make the drops less lucrative?
