Hey Tony, sorry again for you running into the back of me in race 1, as you heard my TC was on all night, so was losing power out of corners. Feel stupid for not catching on faster!
Had some fun racing, was great to have 12 in a room. We need to go for a max grid!
In R2 when Parcells slowed to absolutely nothing just before the finish line do you think I may have run out of gas???
I never thought to check at the time but since I had no engine damage (only body parts were red) and the sensation felt very much like running out of gas but was that even possible with the settings???...I definitely had simulation damage settings so maybe I could have run out of gas?

Quite possibly I didn't think of that at the time but running with sim damage includes running with Gas and Tyre wear
Took longer than anticipated but was having fun and making progress so the nearly 3 hours spent yesterday tuning this awesome Mazda was time well spent. Pretty sure the next tune(s) will become quicker and quicker else I’ll stop tuning forever. I would be amiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to get a jab at Forza for removing Parcell’s favorite tuning track, Mugello. However the game is providing Parcells plenty of credits with somewhat minimal playing time so sitting on 5 mill credits I can afford to tune for the afternoon vs. racing. Mugello un-fortunes aside, that may very well push up Catalunya National as the next best tuning track so that was also a bonus it being today’s track.
Started with seeing how far I’m off with a base tune compared to Gizzie’s and Derek’s on-line tunes and that was just over 1.5 seconds. Both Derek’s and Gizzie’s tunes felt great yet slightly different in areas and I didn’t care because I knew I’d be happy using either tune if my tuning experiment proved futile. Was within a tenth of a second with either tune and knew I had lot of work to do to get the base tune anywhere near as comfortable. Probably a good 40 minutes to this point because I also tested a couple other member tunes whom I’ll refrain from mentioning (KC & Max…oops) as they were quickly discarded.
In my previous limited and semi-successful tuning experiences I’ve always had difficulties with suspension settings and yesterday was no different as it took another 40+ minutes I’m sure just to get the suspension where it felt half decent. Hard to tell being the first thing to tune when you know other adjustments are needed but I think I learned something to make it quicker next time. Yada yada yada nearing 2 hours in and I’m still a full second off my goal time but I just haven’t gotten around to some key time saving adjustments yet so I’m still a bit skeptical but hopeful at the same time.
Some of those key adjustments included the bump/rebound to ease over the kerbs, ARB settings and differential so I knew there was plenty to gain. Lo and behold and another hour later I had the car feeling really good to my driving style and much to my surprise I took 2 tenths of a second off my goal time…Score one for Parcells!!!
All throughout I never did adjust the camber settings which was a little surprising because everything I adjusted it did feel like I could feel the difference in the handling of the car but my tyres were always plenty hot with almost identical temperatures inside and out which is what I rely on to adjust the camber so I just left this completely default. I’m sure there are some other minor adjustments that will help (like tyre pressure, left this default but was running over 34 psi so can turn this down a notch) also thinking I can adjust the brake balance one more notch to the rear and maybe this car can afford to be lowered some too? Regardless had some fun and more importantly know that with a bit of time I can make my own tune as there’s always a couple personal tweaks I like to make to good tunes by others to suit my driving style (front toe turn-in assistance as an example).
At the risk of coming across even more arrogant I’ll publish this tune for download with (2o4f & Parcells2 descriptions) if anyone wants to check it out…risking arrogance vs. being an arsehole for talking up my tune but not sharing…you see my dilemma. FYI…I’m going to drop the tyre pressure from the default 30 to 29 on both front and rear before publishing but I WILL NOT be testing this…fairly confident it won’t make things worse.
See you on the track later...with any luck, in my mirror.
To anyone who sent Parcells a FR in the last couple of months (since I purchased the XOne) I wasn't ignoring you as much as I didn't understand the procedure to accept friend requests...was expecting an old style 360 new FR message, couple months later figured out the system.
I knew I had some followers but assumed they could be stalkers so never investigated.
Also, be forewarned, Parcells plans to be back for tomorrow's race; Dismal On-line racing career took a back seat to Parcells flailing bridge career last couple of weeks.
I will try and remember to do this after work today.
Is the 202P logo specific or are we just wanting 202P acknowledged on the car? I haven't done a search as of yet...
Put 3 or 4 generic boards up, search 2o4f or oldschool in the description and they should pop up. Plenty of room to add your numbers.

All non UK people, we moved back an hour last night so race today might be one hour later than you think!
I'm presuming Snoop is keeping it at 8pm UK time...
so points updated and looking like this is hotting up to be an interesting series great racing tonight and see you all at LeMans with your umbrellas
Great racing last night guys, clean (after lap 1 :s) and some good midpack battles.
So can we get confirmation on the pitstops? Can we take them on consecutive laps or no? there seemed to be confusion during the race. thanks
As stated in the OP you may NOT pit on consecutive laps.
