Greetings, everyone.

I have some good news for you today. At this time we have a fix and I will be working with impacted users individually via private message to provide assistance implementing the resolution. If you are still encountering this issue, please reply once to this thread with the following information so I know exactly who to follow up with:

1. What controller type do you have? (brand, model, color, wired/wireless, any other information)?
2. Does re-attaching the battery pack fix the issue?
3. Does power cycling the console fix the issue?
4. Have you tried Mister Gwyther’s fix here and did it help resolve your issue?:

I was fortunate enough to be selected.  Just finished the registration process and will hopefully update my console this evening.

I don't think I've experienced the FFB issues on my MS Wheel as severly as the Fanatec owners.
It's only ever pulled full force to the left once where I had to unplug the wheel and reboot my XBox.
I have experienced varying degrees of FFB strength from what I'd call normal to light to none at all.
Power cylcing the wheel and restarting FM4 usually resolved the issue, but that's treating the symptoms and not the cause.

The one issue I've had with my wheel that was going on before the update fiasco was every now and then when exiting a mid-speed corner I'd straighten the wheel out but the FFB stayed on as if I was still in the corner.  It was like trying to drive a car straight that has a severe amount of stagger. A couple quick flicks to the left and right would get the xbox to send updated FFB info to the wheel and it would return to normal. Annoying as hell if I was on a fast lap, but nothing close to the sudden full lock issue.

I was thinking about getting a Fanatec wheel but put those plans on hold when the Live update issue started.
Plus I also find it annoying that I would have to jury rig a solution in order to use my Turtle Beach headsets with the wheel, but that's not neccesarily Microsoft's fault. Or is it?  :-)

Hopefully what MS has in the pipeline will resolve the issue.

One was a v1, the others v2's. If this process stops that I would be surprised. With my CSRE I have had a number of issues with the FFB, but not quite to the degree some have. Still not acceptable. I wonder what the hell they we're tinkering with to cause the issue in the first place.

I think they were trying to ban some non-licensed 3rd party force feedback controllers is what caused this problem.

I have also been invited to the beta program and have my key ready to input into my xbox, but I am reluctant to. I assume it won't prevent us from being able to play on-line, but I have a multiscreen Forza 4 setup and I am worried that the client xbox's won't connect to the host xbox if they have different dashboard versions.

Message the XBox rep who sent you the signup link with your concearns and see what they say.

Parcells experience to a T but I only had two of the MS Wheels, both with this identical problem.
