Gauging interest for a weekly themed race for us Euroguys?
I was thinking it could be fun to once a week have themed races for us euro guys (like the retro races the yanks do on mondays).
One night a week (e.g. thursdays) and one race or two to start with. It would all be casual, so no points, just for fun.
Themes that I've thought of but not limited to are;
Classic Race Cars
Group B (As close to the real ones as possible class wise)
DTM
The Fast and the Furious (Ridiculous bodykits, wheels, colours and vinyls as well as quoting cheesy oneliners mid race)
Muscle cars (ludicrous amounts of horsepower and no suspension/brakes whatsoever?)
"Gatebil Extreme" (Just take a roadlegal (homologated) car and make it as fast as possible)
Etc..
So please give your input on this and which day and time would be best. Please don't hesitate to add more themes!

Even though I'm across the pond. If I'm home from work in time (depending on when that turns out to be), I'd participate.
We tolerate Parcells, you should shush...
If it's early enough, like 4-5 EST I'm probably available.

I would be there but I only have authorization to turn the Xbox on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Sundays.
Rausner - Have a chat with Gizzie. He is looking to set up Tuesday night spec racing again and this could well be up his street.
TBH, I do miss the spec racing J used to host when i first started, but people got busy and things got quiet.
Still fond memories of NSX's, Ferarris and mini's. :)
Always happy to help supply builds, but matching cars is near impossible really - so i would suggest keeping to 1 car for a headache free run :)

I'd definitely be up for some more GMT friendly racing. I cant guarantee i'd be there every week but i'd certainly try! :)
Like I said it'll be casual so people can come and go as they want, just like the wednesday nights!
So right now we're looking at tuesdays but will know later tonight!
Umm, not to ruffle feathers, but Knight's already running what could be called a spec series during Euro time slot. 4pm EDT, one car, one tune.
It's called Back in Time, running Austin Healy's, prioro to that we ran the 69 Fairlady's, and next is slotted to be the VW' beetles.
However, he's having an issue with his connection, and we're running Hennessy's in the interim.(3weeks max, maybe less if things improve quicker).
This isn't considered a Euro event per se but the slot lends itself to them quite well.
So , Tuesdays are running a single car, tune , usually 4 weeks or so, and then shifts to another car. The Euro flavor tends to favor smaller cars in the D-A slot, usually on the lower side. And then Gizzies got a Wednesday track day where it's just the opposite, one track, all classes, any car. And that runs at 3pm EDT.
Can you run on a Monday or a Thursday perhaps?
Thanks Oldschool, yes I will be back, I am slowly getting the attention of Three and should have news over the next day or so. There is one more race to be run for the Healy that will be run as soon as I can be sure I can race without issues, then another series is ready and waiting in the wings to follow, as Oldschool has said the VW's. Be nice if MS have sorted out the issues us wheel users are still having by then as well...
Any day is fine by me. I can take mondays or thursdays, it'll be no biggie! I'm gonna work more on the layout of the races, but will take suggestions as I'm kind of new to the "proper online racing scene" :P
HAH! Some 'round here would take offense to that but I'd say it fits right well.
A quick opinion. the more rules, the less attendance. Not saying certain things need done/said, but ...
At any rate, do it how youlike and you can always tweak it as it goes, if need be. Feedback from your racers is a great place to start.
Look over the OP threads in the top section on events and you can see how others are doing it, and then set your own up as you see fit.
