ManCave/ ForzaCave finished

I attempted to edit my original post but I may have deleted it.

After several weeks of work redoing our basement my cave is finally habitable. New floor, new paint, new surround sound, 2 new tv's(I can watch racing while racing).

Still need to get some black out curtains up and a few of the pictures need to be framed. This was the most painful project my wife and I have undertaken. Extremely happy with the results.

+1

I know everyone ELSE would love it if I got my stuff out of the living room as well...

Although some seem to like the microphone entertainment...

Aaahaaamzing. Would love to have something like that later in life if I get a house (and a family ^^). Doubt it could get much better than that at home!

I love it!  Great job Ringmastre.  I will be starting on my ForzaCave soon.  Just need to save up for a few more things. Namely, a racing cockpit.  BTW, that Gargoyle is JACKED! LOL

oh, yeah...I'm moved and will be back on-line tonight.  Nice.

One great benefit of having two cats instead of kids is my wife and I get to have the toys.

Going to be looking into these for my house I think.  http://www.baliblinds.com/Blinds-and-Shades/Cellular-Shades/ProductLine.do?productLineId=59  You can get them in varying degrees of light blocking, and the style wouldn't look too out of place in a MCM home.  They will enable me to use light filtering blinds in the library, and the room darkening for the living room (where the TV is at).  Since the 2 rooms are connected, and not separated by a door, it would look a bit odd using 2 different styles of blinds.  These will allow me to use the same style, but still get the different lighting characteristics for the rooms.  They are available in a "cordless" design, which eliminates the dangling cords (but not electrical), and are also available in a remote controlled "powered" version.  Another thing that makes the "cordless" version pretty slick, is you have the option of either dropping the top down, or raising the bottom up.  I think you can even do both at the same time.  Pretty slick.  For me, they are also going to be one of my better options for thermal barriers on the huge picture windows I've got in my library and living room.

Sherb. I have cellular blinds very similar in our living room. They are manual not electric, but can be adjusted from top, bottom or both. They are set in our picture windows that are huge and not conducive to Montana winters. With all the glass involved in M/C homes I am surprised any were built here. They allow us to have light in but block the direct view from the street if wanted. Yes they look good in an M/C home. You don't even notice them when fully open.

You sir, have good taste!  cheeky

Or maybe I'm just biased.  wink  I still find it hilarious that you already have that style.  Pretty much cements the deal for me.  Thanks for the pics.
