The first step is admitting to have a problem...

So... we're only a few days into the Steam sale, and I believe I've already dropped about $100 on games.... quite a few I bet I'll never get around to finishing!

$2.49 for this? SOLD! 9.99 for a 4 game bundle!? I'm there! I haven't paid more than $10 for any one thing, but I've loaded up on a couple of bundles and quite a few flash deals.

As much as I feel like a tool with no restraint, I know I've spent way more money on fewer games before, and these price points beat the $60 price tag for a new "AAA" title any day of the week!

Hopefully the wife doesn't find out about my problem. ;)

I'm trying to cover my tracks and using creative license to explain my spending to my wife as well :D

My wife problem isnt the money spent but the time spent...I went and got 5 or 6 new ones today but finding any time to play is a chore...ah to be independently wealthy and have no constraints on time....a dream...

I have dropped over 200, but in my defense. This money was what I received from selling my ps3 games. smiley

Luckily for me I've bought most everything already during previous Steam sales or I could see myself spending a ton during this one.  As it is, the deals are so good I'm having to resist picking up some games I already own on Xbox .  That Batman franchise deal was a tough one not to grab, just for the Arkham City DLC.

My Steam library already has a ridiculous number of games in it.  And like Fade, I really have no time to play any of them.  But, man, when a game is $3-$5 and I have even a remote interest in it it's so hard to not to pull the trigger.

Time is the biggest factor for me, or lack thereof. Being a shift worker I do get the odd day with no one around the house to get caught up but during the summer the kids are home on my days off and not in daycare. Plus I just like being out in the sun.

Some of these deals are so cheap that they are too good to pass up.
