The Rotary has ended...for now. (Check out the part about 1000 Spirit-R RX-8's at end of run!)

Yeah, I thought I heard this was coming.  One of my previous Car and Driver's this year had an article looking at car sales from the past year.  Don't quote me but I want to say that either Ferrari or Lamborghini (something exotic) sold more cars in the US than Mazda sold RX-8s.  I wan't to say they sold less than 2,000.

EDIT - http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2011/01/mazda-rx-8-sales-figures.html

found this, apparently they only sold 759 in the US last year, not going to make any money like that.

Mazda extended production if the RX-8 sports car with a run of 1,000 special edition Spirit-R models celebrating the engine.

I wonder if T10 will borrow one of those models for a bit.
