Dirt Tune Racing selected for Community bounty.
Was wondering what the community bounty was this week, so I checked the thread over at FM.net.
This was said in the latest post by phREDISIGN:

What was their entry for a reward?
You'll have to double check with M3, but I think earlier in that thread it said it would be a 1956 Jaguar D-Type A-Class with Roo's WWII paint.
FISH0 will be the driver and Rocket has ideas for side comps. Problem is we still are awaiting phRED to contact us. Rocket fears phRED might be trying to contact Kurupt since he is the head of the garage on paper even though M3 submitted us into the mix. Kinda sucks playing the waiting game.
The A-Class D-Type is Killer's Gatling Gun design...kind of a postmortem hurrah for him, I guess.

With the craziness T10's been dealing with over the last couple of days (Still waiting for my VIP Supra) and given that it's also a holiday weekend in the US, I wouldn't be surprised if they skip CBH this week and picked it up in June with the next round of rival events.
I haven't seen any posts by phRed saying he hasn't received any response from DirtT. Wouldn't be surprised if he simply hasn't had a chance to contact M3 yet.
That thins is secks-ay. Just saying.
You could wrap that thing in fishwrap (NY TIMES will do) and it'd be SecSay!

phRED finally contacted me at 4:40pm last night! Something about the "problems" they were busy with in the beginning of the week.
Anyway, the thread is up now. And already, a rival garage has been spamvertising within hours of posting. No respect! They couldn't even wait a day to start in OUR turn at being the Garage Bounty. I never did that to Atlantic LS and would never do that to another garage. Just shameless.
In any case, we'll be using and promoting Oldschool's NSX GT paints, and welcome any 2O4F member that has any ideas or contributions to the event--side contests anyone?
I'd make it a requirement, only people that didn't get the time in would be eligible?

Anyone have the Stradale to share in the Central garage? Or the NSX? I can buy the Stradale if necessary, and I don't own the fancy Unicorn..
I'll gift over all three tunes (Countach, NSX GT and Stradale) to Jarhead and SoCal so you can share them in your garage when I get on my Xbox tonight.
I'd encourage members to download the tunes from our SF and rate them anyway, even if you don't have the vehicle. It helps the tunes get some visibility in the general Forza community.
Will do. Have both unicorns and I bought a Countach on Wednesday. Will get them in the West Garage this evening.
BTW, your M1 WW2 tune is pretty quick too. I ran a 1:37.031 in it.
Do you guys have a target time in mind or is F1 going to go all out?
I have the M1 WWII tune, I may have to give that one a shot. I have a Countach in my garage too, can someone send me that one?

Gifts received from M3Rocket. Lancia, NSX, and Countach will be available shortly in the West Garage.
The only problem with the NSX-R GT is that it's a Unicorn which we can't gift.
But we can use the LE paint for a side contest prize for those that already have the Unicorn car. Hopefully, this will generate some traffic to Oldschool's SF and they will see the other nice designs there.
Could the liveries be adpated to one of the other NSX's and is the Castrol livery available for downloading at a storefront near me? I picked up the blue one, but I like green more. It's really nice and would look very cool on my NSX Unicorn.

On my ninth lap I finally managed to nick F1SH0 at the line by a couple hundreths. Great run. We swapped the lead four times that lap and I two-wheeled it not once...

I don't think I can wring anything else out of the De Tomaso if F1SH0 ups his game, but if/when that happens I've got a DirtT tuned NSX-R GT with an OldSchool livery waiting to be driven in anger.

It's your paint Oldschool. We don't have a problem with you giving those out to 2O4F members here. As a prize livery, i think it might be helpful to offer the winner either the NSX-R GT or the regular NSX version. That way, they can still win the livery even if they don't have the Unicorn. Can you do that with the paint?
In other news (Friday is usually a slow news day):
Predictable and annoying at the same time: All three of the free Rivals tune (Countach, Lancia and NSX-R GT) has been hate rated down to 3 stars. I'm not worried though--despite the dominance of anything Porsche on most everything, I think those tunes will eventually make the Top Downloaded and the hate raters will once again lose out in the long run.
We would sure appreciate any feedback here if you've driven any of the three cars. Both the NSX-R GT and Lancia 037 are capable of 1:33.xxx times in this event!
I ran the Lambo in testing just to see what it's capable of. It has a little more push than the Pantera, but it was easily two tenths a lap quicker.
That was sand I saw leaking out of the back of F1SH0's ghost.
As for the Lancia and NSX, the grip these cars have is phenominal. In turn 1 I was amazed just how quickly I could get back to full throttle just after braking.
The Lancia feels a bit more balanced front to rear than the NSX. The NSX turns in quicker than the Lancia, but the back end is a bit lighter on exit so I just needed to be mindful of my throttle and steering. Any oversteer was pretty mild though and easily corrected.

I might be able to break into the 1:34's if I was trying to chase a ghost down and/or used the clutch.
Even though the Lancia seems more stable and I went faster in it, I like the NSX more because it's a damn sexy car and makes a prettier noise.

I've tried the NSX, Lancia, a Saleen281(?), my Pantera, and I'm just at the bottom of 1:39... I don't see a 1:37 in my future, let alone a 1:35...

Um, what's this about a 037 Livery? Where do I post it, do I have to tag it in some way, what what what?
