Sad day. And yet I keep thinking who woulda thought he'd live to be 89? I hope he liked the ride!
Carroll Shelby was the first "Racer" I remember as a boy. I think I've dreamed of owning a real "Cobra" since I was in 1st grade. For me....he was the father of sports car racing.
I'm going to open a room tonight around 7PM Pacific time....gonna run as long as I can.....will run the Shelbys of course. Think I'll run the GT40s too. Open to other ideas as long as the relate to Carroll and his devotion to racing. I'm gonna do this again on Sunday AM 7 till about 10. Maybe I'll catch some of our Euro guys. Gonna be sunny and close to 70...so after that I'm gonna play outside.
Hope to catch some of you there.

There are some people you'd like to see live forever, Carrol Shelby was one of those people. Not just because of his impact on cars and racing, but because he was always looking towards the next best thing the newest innovation in ways to make cars better but still enjoyable. I hope my kids can have a man like him come about in their generation see his legacy and decide to be the next great innovator.
