Then when I went to go check my achievements to see if it somehow gave it to me without the notification, the Achievements part of the dashboard crashed twice.

Everything by m$ has been rushed lately. Xbone was rushed to compete with PS4's release date. MCC was rushed to get holiday sales. The attitude currently employed by m$ is "release is quicker and we'll fix it later."
Was doing Destiny with an xbl friend the other night, when he gets a message from XBL. The message said (to paraphrase), "Thank you for your patience and support for MCC. In recognition of your support, we are extending your gold membership by another month."
I have yet to get that message, but then I've only spent a few hours in the game. Another month of gold? That's what, about $4? Man, that makes it well worth it.

Yeah, seriously. Even the ODST campaign and Relic don't even come close to compensating for how awful this launch has been and continues to be. This has all but killed my interest in Halo, which is saying a lot. I don't even want to think about the hours and money I've poured into this game over the last 13 years. Most nights I don't even feel like getting on and trying to deal with all the bugs and glitches.
I played some multiplayer today with my friend. We used party chat the whole time so I don't know if in-game chat is still broken or not.
Everything else seemed about the same as before. Game crashes, random party leader switches, getting split into separate searches randomly, really horrible lag in some games (players teleporting all over the map on Stand Off, for example), and so on. Not sure why I even bothered, especially since searching with a party of two meant that we were playing 3v4 almost every game due to quitters or people lagging out. Fun!
That's okay, give them time. It's only been three fucking months since the game shipped. It's not like they promised dedicated servers as one of the selling points to get people to buy their shitty broken game. Oh wait.
Last night was my final night of Halo. I play with an old college buddy Tuesday nights. Last Tuesday we spent an hour and a half trying to get the lobby to work without ever playing a single game.
What about this week? Amazingly we were able to join each other's lobby and hear each other. Incredible! We searched Swat, found 8 players. So far so good. But of course the game gets stuck on Retrieving Player Info and just sits there for several minutes without giving us the option to vote. At one point the game even had 9 players in an 8 player lobby. We quit, reboot the game, retry. Same thing several more times.
So we give up on MM and decide to try some campaign. A dozen or so tries and several game reboots later, we're finally able to join each other's lobby. We load up Delta Halo. It's pretty fun. But 10 minutes in, the game goes black screen and boots us both out to the lobby. We decide to try Halo 4. A few more lobby glitches and we're able to start the level with the Mammoth. Everything is going smoothly until about 10-15 minutes in when the game decides to not load the level geometry. It looks like the Mammoth is driving over thin air. When it gets to the part when you have to get out of the mammoth, all we could do is jump out and fall to our deaths.
Oh, and this whole time in H4 my friend's button layout was glitched so that he had to use the D-pad to sprint, switch weapons, and pick up weapons, even though his control settings said he was on Bumper Jumper. GG, 343!
We try MM one last time. We keep getting split up. At one point, we were searching in Swat, and suddenly my friend finds himself on the Pillar of Autumn with a bunch of strangers. WTF? Then, to cap the night off, we tried searching MM one last time, only to have the game find 9 players for an 8 player playlist, and then get stuck "Searching for more players... 9/8 found." We never did get to play a MM game.
What the fuck is wrong with this game? How in the hell can it even be this bad? 3 months and 20 patches later and it literally doesn't work at all. I guess sitting in the lobby is more fun than playing 6v2 like before, but I don't understand how the latest "updates" can make it worse to the point where we literally can't play a single game in two weeks of searching.
I'm done with Halo for good. Fuck 343, fuck Microsoft. Halo has been my only game since 2002, but thanks to this piece of shit game I actually went out and bought a brand new copy of Destiny for my friend so we can switch to that Tuesday nights.

Between crucible, the story missions, leveling up beyond 20, the strikes, and the weekly/nightfall/daily missions, there's plenty in Destiny to keep you and your friend occupied, especially if you're relatively new to it. Keep your eyes out for raid invites once your level gets past 26 (30 for Crota). Whenever I have questions about armor, raid tips, leveling up, etc. I check the Destiny forum here as well as Destiny Reddit.
Meanwhile, Halo 4 on XB360 is still working just fine -- occasional lag issues, but that's nothing new. We had almost a full 16 contingent on last night's Tuesday Over 50.

they need to get the dedi's up for everything. They have said they're up but I don't believe it. If there are host black screens, that proves no dedi.
