What to buy, !!!! for XBOX one - Destiny

Since I bought or got almost for free from a co-worker - The Destiny disk on Xbox-360, now I have a new Xbox one and have to purchase a new Destiny game,.. What do you suggest buying the Destiny game Disk, or buy the Destiny on-line " Destiny Gardian Edition" .

Let me know your thoughts,... Thanks all in advance.

Single player games are nice to have a disk so you can play them years from now. Online MMOs die when the servers go down and even when you pop in a disk, you can't play the game anymore. So, Halo and Dragon age, etc, get a disk. Destiny the digital version is probably fine and easier to get. IMHO.

One other minor point - with the digital version there's no wear and tear on the disc drive mechanism.

Disc>digital. Unless they have a sale or something. Usually you can get the disc for less than $60 and you can trade it in later for $20 so the cost is lower. With that being said if you never trade in games or know you will love it and play for a long time (past trade in value point), then get the digital version and save having to put in discs every time you want to play.

If you haven't purchased it yet, Amazon.com and gamestop have some good deals on destiny right now. On the other hand I believe you get the dlc as part of the digital edition but don't quote me on that.

I went digital essentially because of the deal at the time.  Buy from M$ for the 360, and get free download for XBONE up to 1/15/15.  Same was true for the expansion pass.  As soon as I saw the deal I cancelled my pre-order and ordered from the M$ store on release day.  Patting myself on the back for that one.  That aside I recommend the digital route from the M$ store.  Once purchased you always have access to the game to download again if necessary.

All digital is good for saving money if your home has multiple XB1. One XB1 is the Home machine and everyone on it gets Gold for free. Your son can play for free on the Home XB1 and you can play on any XB1. Works pretty damn slick.
