Anyone interested in running the 1998 Le Mans one-off race that I mentioned in the future series thread on October 5, one hour with one stop? Or we could run the Nordschleife in the Exige cars as an non-points race.
Here are my thoughts on the handicaps. This is based on the premise that we seem to have some fast mere mortals and then there are the superhumans.
First race: no handicaps.
2nd race: Superhumans get 10% power handicap and one pit stop. Anyone on the podium that is a fast mere mortal gets the one pit stop and that is it.
3rd race: Everyone who got a pit stop in race 2 keeps it. Mere mortals in the top 6 of race 2 gets a 10% handicap. Superhumans in race 2 get a 15% handicap.
Superhumans will be distinguished by the race committee (me) after each race.
I believe this Sunday October 5th is a skip since some of our races are in the Forza 5 series. I will host a race normal time for those that want to participate and we can try different tracks and try out the handicaps to see if they accomplish the desired results.
Do you want to start a fresh thread for the actual series where you can control the original post with updates? If not, I can update the OP on this thread.

time is looking like a better slot at times. (One week Id be out... Playin for the Club Championship :) and have another back surgery pending in a few weeks (why I bought th XB and joined ya all last year.)
so, Id like to toss me hat in. I just bought the car, will test. Im always in the back after the third turn anyway :) it looks like theres room,esp with someone often having a conflict.
i'll run privateer, even tho Ive been w Rookie Racing. And when I got Forza, an achievement was to make a Garage/Club. Its the Granny Gear Grinders. Ive also driven under Twitchy-Thumb Racing, being a standard controller user, ant not so good (twitchy..) Ill decide by first race day if I run w a garage.
anyway, if its cool, I'll practice with it, tape a number on it, and hope to see ya... Its a game, we have fun... :)

Duffermac: This Sunday at 3pm EST will be a great time for you to start. We've only had one official race and this week is a practice/exhibition week while some are away racing in a XBOX ONE series. Good chance to get used to the car and our upcoming tracks.
I'd be carefull with upping the power handicap as Tsukuba was a track where peak power doesn't realy come in to play, 5% could be much more effective on longer tracks.

For the next series I am proposing TEAMS ONLY. You can only race as a pair. Pairs will be selected based on this race series and who participates in the next series. Top racer will be teamed up with the bottom racer, second top racer with the second from the bottom and so on. You win or lose as a team. Hopefully this will result in somewhat equally matched teams and handicaps should not be necessary.
It could also be a good learning opportunity since it would behoove good racers to give pointers to their lower ranked teammate.

Like the idea was looking at a similar thing with the endurance series but not restricting is as much so if you dont want to be in a team fine but if you do its limited to 2 drivers. Havent enforced the highest or lowest drivers though as want people to have the choice

My preperation was bad, 10 minits before the race switch from XB1 to XB360.
So had to get famliar to the car in the race.Lost a lot of time looking for the pit in race 2.
We have to blind fold Jonny the next race to have a change. :)

FYI the FM5 race is just a one off, not a series.
Perhaps we can test the handicaps on Sunday.
