One of my friends sent me a demon. It appeared behind me as I was fighting backwards on a bridge...got real exciting there for a few seconds.

I decided to buy it this weekend. Only got to play for a short period of time but really like the way it plays on the console. Now I need some friends to play with... :)

Well I can finally play online. I tried to connect Mon. morning right before I had to go to work coming back from vacation. Of course it started working then. All my achievements that were locked finally unlocked. I'll be looking to get in multiplayer action now. I'm a lvl 31ish barbarian right now.

Good to hear. Drop me an invite if you see me on and we can play. I'll be working on leveling up my remaining level 60 characters to 70, so I'll be playing a lot of Adventure Mode and running bounties and rifts. I still need to level my Wizard and Demon Hunter. I also need to work on my Crusader that is a mid-30 level.

The cool thing about Adventure Mode is that lower levels can play with higher levels. The lower levels get their stats scaled to be competitive with the others in the party so everybody can play together. The loot that drops will be for your level character too.

I started a new Crusader toon at expert level.  I can tell it is just right because I barely kill the treasure imp when he appears.  I am to the new content and now level 54.

I realy like the friend gifting and other add ons.  Did some multiplayer.  Add me (Strike Z) if you are on the 360.

I plan on hiting it pretty hard this weekend. My Demon Hunter is level 68, so she'll be to 70 very soon. Then I'll be working on getting my Crusader to 70 - he's almost 40.

Once those are done, then it will be LOTS of Level 70 farming. The only problem is deciding which one I want to be my "main". I'm thinking it will either be my Witch Doctor or Monk as I love both of those classes.

Hit me up if any of you guys/gals want to play!

My monk is still my favorite, followed by the Crusader.

How long? Endless.

That is, if you don't mind farming for hours and hours for upgrades and crafting materials.

I'm still farming for the Ring of Royal Grandeur and have yet to find one. I plan to keep at it though, so if anybody is interested in running Act 1 bounties, just jump in the game. I have the difficulty down to speed up the process.

I did finish getting all my characters to level 70, so at least I did get something accomplished over the weekend.

Saw these tips for farming the Ring

- Do not open ANY chests (including cursed shrine or cleansing chest events), unless you have to for the bounty completion (Matriarch’s Bones, Jar of Souls, Garrach the Afflicted)
- Do not pop any lootable bodies, or objects (tiles)
- Try not to pop any breakables, this is hard to control with Thunderfury and certain classes/specs, but do your best.
- Try to do at least 1 hour of bounty farming to utilize the Pity Timer effect
- Optional – Open with MF gear on, it can't hurt.
- Optional – I like to open them in Act 1 on T6, doesn’t hurt right.

TL;DR - Clear bounties without opening chests, bodies, breakables, and you should get a legendary in your caches after 1 hour or so of doing A1 bounties that may be a RoRG. If you get legendary drops while clearing, you probably won't have a legendary in your caches.

Thanks Strike. What is the "pity timer effect"? Is that saying to farm my caches for 1 hour before opening because I can probably get 4 in an hour?

Overall, the the drops from the caches are lame. I have dropped two Mad Monarch's sceptors and one was decent with a reroll, but otherwise it's been nothing.

Oops - should have posted the link:  http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12675389719

Here’s the part you’ve been waiting for! I’ve gotten more than 30 (edited since original OP, and just generalizing the amount to be over 30) RoRG’s using the “Junger Rules”. So, we know there’s a mechanism built into Diablo 3 which some of us call, the Pity Timer. Global drops will use and then reset your Pity Timer. And if you’re not there or don’t know about it, well you’re SOL. I believe the Pity Timer applies to the bounty cache’s contents. What if the pity timer increased from 0% to 100% in 2 hours. What if the pity timer applied to the base RNG cache loot percentage, of let's say 15%. What if after 1 hour, 50% pity timer + 15% cache loot RNG percentage for a total of 65% applied to the cache. What if RoRG then has a 20% (1 of 5 A1 items) chance to roll if the cache rolls a legendary after the 65% is applied. So what if after 1 hour, you have a 13% chance to roll a RoRG. Maybe the more killing/bounties you do without utilizing your pity timer, either by actually seeing drops, or potential global drops might increase your potential for a cache legendary.

So, my method to maximize the potential to get a RoRG is as follows:

Hop in my game or message me if you want. We can run some bounties and rifts.

The best way to level up after you've completed the campaign is to run the bounties and nephalem rifts found in Adventure Mode. As you get better gear, then increase the diffculty for more xp, gold and better legendaries.

Keep in mind also that some of the better gear in the game is only craftable by the Blacksmith once you find the plans. If you get a Legendary item you don't want/need - do not sell it, salvage it for the Forgotten Soul as this is the primary material needed to craft and enchant legendary gear.

I just started running the adventures.  Kinda fun way to up the Paragon for my level 70 toon.  I am not farming anything specific, just trying to get a better lvl 70 set for my Crusader.

LOL...more hours than I can count on my fingers and toes. Keep in mind, I put MANY hours into Diablo 3 on 360 before moving my characters to the XB1, so I have a little bit of a head start.

Also, I did find the Ring last night. I tried the method mentioned in the above posts. I put the difficulty down to Normal and just blasted through the bounties. After about 1 hour I had 6 bounty caches to open and the only Legendary I got was the Ring.

Side note though, I did get two Legendary drops while bounty hunting, but the ring still dropped for me, so I'm happy!

I may have to try dropping the difficulty down and blasting through.

I was a little disappointed I spent 20 minutes killing that spider queen on torment level 2 and all I got was this damn T-Shirt! I switched to Master and blasted through more enemies quicker and got more XP in the process...so is there any reason to amp up the difficulty other than to torment oneself?

The torment difficulties are where you'll find (or at least have a better chance) of the best gear in the game dropping. You'll also get more gold and xp, but that's only if you are effecient enough to handle the difficulty. As you pointed out, you'll get more xp by dropping the difficulty and clearing bounties/rifts faster than spending an inordinate amount of time in torment.

Just because you can survive in torment difficulties doesn't mean it's the best place to play until you are geared properly.

Here's the "rule" I've always followed when farming. You want to basically "one shot" the white mobs and spend no more than 30 seconds on the elite packs. This will make the game kind of boring, but this is the proper way to farm FAST. I am almost to the farm stage with my Monk for Torment I, if I could get a decent weapon drop (Thunderfury) or a couple of better armor pieces I'll be set.

Again, this is the rule I follow for fast farming where I just want to run through as quickly as possible. I'll probably keep it on Torment I while I farm in the hopes something good will drop for me. Overall though, aside from the Ring of Royal Grandeur, I've been disappointed with the drops.

I went to a lower level and farmed - it was too monotomous.  I just reached 70 and when I tried torment levels, I was not ready.  I need gear, Paragon, and gem upgrades to move up.

Act 4 can drop all of the unique Legendary items from all of the other acts. Hold on to that RoRG, it's a build changer...lol
