Does anyone know if it is like other MMO and you select a server like Geo Location?
this game at times will "feel" like a MMO, but is not. The tower for example will find a match for you and put you in the game with a specified number of players. Most I counted during the beta was 16 players to one tower. On missions and the tower, my best guess is that the game finds a match for you just like multiplayer would. (Very clever of them IMO)
XBONE, and I just sent a request to the Destiny Clan link someone posted above. I have a few freinds who are interested in playing, but I know I'll be on more than them. Especially looking for people to join for the end game stuff. Looks like a hella good time
I'm assuming the clan would be able to be accessed in game? Anyone know?
Edit - Are the admins for that clan monitoring it? It says there are 108 members, but only 57 clanmates. Should we reach out to the admins just in case?
Gonna be on the 360 with this one. Though when I get a Xbone in November (for master chief edition) I may jump on it on Xbone as well and just leap between consoles since characters are tied to profiles, not consoles.
While I find it offensive that Xbox enthusiasts will be asked to pay the same price for less game at launch, from what I've heard, the Xbox community should be up-to-date in the content department within a *year* of release. I have not had a chance to do any detailed research on this topic but this sounds about right.
I'm still planning on the 360 version (assuming it's a digital download) or *maybe* the Xbone version (Wife's birthday is September 17th so an Xbox One sure would look nice mixed in with other birthday offerings...) so I don't give a rat's ass about Playstation exclusives. I don't like the DualShock. The controller is still the deal maker/breaker for me -- even tho the DualShock has gotten better.
someone who knows how should do a poll like the age poll so we can get single screen view of how many have what consoles. Seems like you should be able to vote more than once judging by the responses here.
I'll have both the 360 and X1. Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but does anyone know if the 360/Destiny version will use dedicated servers or will it play like Firefight/Campaign matchmaking in Halo (sucky lag on 4G wireless)?

Dedicated servers make more sense for a more connected and persistent world, but I don't know for sure.

I'm going out on a limb a bit but I'm confident every single speck of Destiny is dedicated servers.

XB1 mainly & PS4 to see what I can play on the XB1 in a year :D
Is there a Bungie clan people can join?
Thanks man!
Bone.
I may squeeze the budget and get Destiny for the 360 as well as the X1. My doting father side agrees with DEEP.
Pre-ordered for XB1. If Tuesday Over-50 goes to Destiny on XB360, will get it for that platform as well.

There is a PS4 clan and XB1 clan. The membership is split between them.
Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. And I just checked, someone accepted my request and I joined the Xbone clan. Thanks guys, looking forward to it!

It should be noted that there will be content exclusive to the Playstations 3 and 4 versions of Destiny - http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/06/16/destinys-playstation-exclusive...

Thanks. Nothing too dramatic there but something to look forward to down the road.
Xb1 all the way
PS4 for me and the boys.
I'll be playing on Xbox 1. Probably across both my accounts: Mr Audyo and I am Oh Malley.

PS4 for me. I already have the Digital Guardian Edition pre-ordered on PSN. It pre-loads 3-4 days before launch!
