I just read British Touring Car driver Matt Neal was at Codemasters helping to tune tracks and cars for a new game. I can't wait to see what they come up with.
Curious what the hp/ton is on these vs Nascar Sprint's?The current Bristol radio advertisement says 900hp, I think that might be high?
I did a bit of looking and math and the results are intresting:
The min weight of a V8SC is 1410KG Including the driver.
The max HP is 650.
Best case scenario = 460BHP per ton
Now the intresting part.
The Minimum weight of a NASCAR Sprint cup car is 1542KG
Max HP is 750BHP
So it comes out as 486BHP Per Ton
Only 20 odd BHP off?
I honestly think the V8's would whip on a Cup car round a road course. It's too bad NASCAR doesnt go to Bathurst anymore, would like to compare lap times. I know when they did it was mainly an exhibition race, but does anyone know if it was THE north american NASCAR or an offshoot?
People say the 90s was the best era but has anyone watched the races on youtube recently. They are immensely boring. The cars where so on edge with aero etc none got close to each other. So in memory it may seem to have been the best era but no it wasn't. Watch a race from last year to compare (on YouTube)
The BTCC has always been crazy exciting, no matter what era. I personally liked the 90s because of the cars that competed, but that's me, I love any racing from the 90s.
Yea i read that too. Could be something good coming our way
Loss interest after I read "Codemasters"...fool me once...
Have faith young Jedi the force may be great with this one.
A wagon? Yuck!
Looks fucking awesome!!
You can't polish a turd. That's a wagon. What's next, racing stretch limo's? First it was 4 doors, now wagons, blech!
Sweet (.) (.)'s If only I could have something like that on the street.Fuck you Porsche, with my groceries flying outt he back!
And the car that will have my mug on its roof soon:
Geez, buncha middle aged mommy car racers, hehe. BTW the Volvo thing just reinforces it, titles aside. It's a wagon!
Yes but all the V8SC look the same!
Look at the diversty here! FWD, RWD, Salon, Hatch, Coupe. and yes this has become a fanboy match about BTCC and V8SC!
V8SC Volvo looks way better...S60 Secsay!
In your Blog you asked:

Fun game this. Did a few more BHP per Ton below.
2014 F1 Season = None ERS - 868BHP/Ton
ERS Activated = 1099BHP/Ton :D
BTCC - Hard to say as each cars minimum weight and power can be changed upto 5 times per season
SO, you DO read it. You just don't post in it, like every other sod around here. How's that for english?
Bah.
(My Max impersonation...)
Holy crap! That game was the shit back in the day. Probly is shit now but I played the hell out of it then.
Oh yeah best era for BTCC. I invested my fair share of hours in this game
Yes Driveby! A remake of that right there would be the shit! That era was the best! 90's BTCC.
Oh BTW if it is a BTCC based game I'm on it,if it's just another Grid forget it. Lame. I only played Grid 2 because it was free with PS+.
So boring is better? You lost me...
Love this Track. Classic Murray Walker calling the race.
